Thank you, very quickly, to Renee (one of our wonderfully active readers here at Blogfully) for emailing me just moments ago asking for my help.

Yesterday The View was great- Today- EVEN BETTER

Holy cow…someone just said the B word and I ain’t saying names, but wow…that was hilarious. It just gets better and better!

I love Elizabeth and Woopie; they are definitely my favorites, but all and all- All the women on the show have great personalities. It makes the show what it is.

There were actually a lot of interesting “hot topics” today. I kind of had to laugh at the “give your child a credit card at 16” bit because, Ummm- I don’t think so. I have a 16 year old son and there is no way I’d give him his own credit card right now. He’s far to young for that type of responsibility. Now, without even doing this, my son is really great about saving his own money. Example: the other day we gave him $20.00 and, rather than going out and spending it, he asked if we would take him to the bank so that he could deposit it. For me, the best way to learn about money is having cash. If he spends it, it’s gone. If he saves it, it’ll add up eventually. Especially if he chooses to save everything he receives. I don’t think we’ve ever had to mention “saving” to him, he automatically chooses to do this on his own. He’s a really great kid! Continue reading »

Air Brawn iPhone/iPod Application Review

I have been laughing so much the last two days. My son didn’t like this game. He said it was silly and that he didn’t really care for it. The reason I found this so funny is because I finally figured out that he just can’t play it- that’s why he doesn’t like it. He simply can’t stay alive long enough to get to the next level. Every time I heard him play it was… “awe” (pause) “mom- I don’t like this game” (pause)…LOL!

He’s 16 years old. He likes “shoot-em-up games”. He seems to think he can kick butt at any game put in front of him. But, the minute he plays one that he can’t, he thinks its not good. Poor baby; the first time I played it, I played for 15 minutes straight before I got killed. I laughed at him and told him to try it again. Boom, 2 minutes later I heard the military tune…he lost again. I got on (one more time) to prove that it can be played longer than 2 minutes and bam…15 minutes later, I’m still playing. This just comes to show, you can’t win ‘em all!!!

Now, this game is not hard, it’s actually a really cute game and I thought the graphics were pretty sweet (especially since they’re purpose was to recreate an old game). I can’t say that it’s a game everyone will love the second they play it, but it’s definitely a game to try. Especially since it’s only $0.99 to grab it- it’s a steal.

Bling Strands make such a great conversation piece

Ever since the first time we were sent Bling strands to try; we’ve been in love. My girls will be wearing them when we go some place and we always seem to get a lot of attention. Everything from people stopping us in the streets to ask what it was in the girls hair to people making comments about how cute my girls were and how amazing their hair looked; which always followed with questions of “where can they get their hands on some?” and “how much do they cost?”.

If you hadn’t heard of Bling strands before…maybe you’ll remember a picture of Beyonce, taken at the Grammy Awards? Maybe the sight of her “hair in shining” made you take notice of what they were. If not; I’m going to share the secret of where you can get your own.

Is It Monday Already!

OMG- this weekend was not long enough!

I had so much fun that, honestly, I’m not in “Monday Mode” yet (bare with me). I’m still recovering from Saturday’s Birthday Bash (which by the way was way too much fun) and I want desperately to go back, just one day, so that I can continue to vegetate a little longer!

No, I shouldn’t have done it, but I did. I drank myself silly which I don’t do very often.

Now for those that are laughing at me right now, when I say I don’t drink that often, I don’t…or at least not like I used to. But after having to nurse a hangover yesterday- I remember why I stopped and why I don’t want to do this again for a long while. Why? Because right now I’m struggling with a swollen foot that is retaining water and a stomach that is still pretty upset with me (don’t ask why my foot swelled- I have no idea). When I drink; I do stupid things that I regret doing later and while I may be one “happy drunk”, I’m also a dreaded lush. It’s hard to stop once I get started and most importantly- I should know better than to drink since I have CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) and type 1 diabetes. That in itself makes me feel stupid for even considering a night of drinking, but, as I’ve always told myself- I’m just a gluten for punishment!
