Funny People- Soundtrack Review

Funny People; starring Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann, hits theaters on July 31^st, but the soundtrack will be available for purchase in just one (count it; 1) short day.

The Movie’s soundtrack will feature a rare John Lennon acoustic demo of “Watching the Wheels” (1981 single released after his death). It will also include two new live tracks from James Taylor’s on-camera performance of “Carolina in My Mind” (in the film) and Wilco’s “Jesus, exc.” Featuring Andrew Bird on violin recorded during their summer 2008 tour.

“Funny People” is a story of a famous comedian (Adam Sandler) who has a near-death experience realizes that what happens when the other side isn’t at all what you’d expect; after listening to the soundtrack, I’m now more excited about watching the movie than I was before…and I was already anticipating the movie’s release.

I mean, who doesn’t like Adam Sandler? He’s funny, plays some awfully cool parts and, well, he’s a cutie too …check out the movie trailer and see for yourself. It’s going to be a great movie!!!

As far as the soundtrack is concerned; it’s just a peaceful sounding, funny (Sandler’s songs) and relaxing type CD. The music will take you back to another time and keep you smiling. In fact, my favorite song in the soundtrack was Carolina In My Mind…oh and Photograph; heck, what am I talking about? Each song that came on was like, “OOH-I like this one!” I think anyone who gets this soundtrack will be a very happy camper. It’s truly a soundtrack must-have.
