If there was ever a time when a wish could be granted (for me); it would most definitely be to be at the actual Woodstock concert in 1969…I guess you can say I’m a hippy at heart!!!
I know that being there can’t happen, but boy if I can’t tell you about the fact that Woodstock Ventures has teamed with Sony Music Entertainment to launch Woodstock.com.
Woodstock.com will feature a cutting edge live music social network for all concerts and it’ll include complete artist and even information, access to ticketing, concert reviews, blogs and a forum to connect with other fan event’s throughout the world…WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?
It’s so great to see this happening; it’s like stepping back in time. There’s so much more that you’ll be able to do at Woodstock.com; like fans sharing their experiences from all of those Woodstock Festivals from ’69, ’94 and ’99 (as well as other live concert events).
A typical fan would think that there’s nothing better than what I’ve just shared, but wait, there’s still more! Woodstock.com will also premiere WikiStock, an interactive wiki-style encyclopedia of ALL THINGS Woodstock. I’m talking massive info!!!

Now, Woodstock is being created under the auspices of Michael Lang and Joel Rosenman (the two infamous founders of the Woodstock Festival). The launch of Woodstock.com is planned to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock Festival anniversary. It’s definitely a destination for music, social issues, memories and hopes and much, much more (don’t forget the fun).
I recently received some awesome posters and an Awesome Poncho for review (and Giveaway)…and I must say; if there are any fans of Woodstock out there…you’re going to want to enter. Each poster is like getting two for one. You’ve got an aerial view of the Woodstock crowd on every poster, but on the back are six different styles to choose from. There’s Janis Joplin, Sly, Jefferson Airplane, Santana and Johnny Winter. The posters are by far perfect for any fan out there. The only dilemma I have is trying to figure out where to hang these once I’ve framed them because after all, you can’t just hang these with a tack.

The poncho is a perfect blue and has the Woodstock website logo in the back; just perfect for those rainy days.
Over all, I love the new items available through Woodstock.com and I know that you will too.
For more information or to get involved with the excitement; please visit the Woodstock site for more details.
So it’s GIVEAWAY TIME. I’m giving away 6 posters and 1 poncho to one reader. It’s pretty easy to enter too…I’m not asking much.

I was too young to remember but it always seemed to me like a place I'd be if I was of age.
I was born almost 20 years after the first Woodstock, but I love all of the great artists that it showcased!
