Little nervous today

My 30th birthdayUsually I try to keep my personal life off the net for fear of boring my readers, but today- I thought I’d share…

My mother, sisters (2) and nieces & nephews (6) are on their way to my house as I write. I’m a little nervous because I haven’t seen them in over a year.

Lack of communications and drama was the cause of this unfortunate event of us not speaking to each other, but in the past seven months we began talking again; partly because I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (stage 3), Dis metabolic Syndrome X and type 1.5 Diabetes; part of it was because I missed the “family” aspect of it and the biggest part was, they’re family. They are MY family and I missed them terribly.

I should be writing my “Read-it Roundup” post right now, but instead I’m preparing for the visit. I will proceed with work as usual after they leave this evening, but for now, I hope everyone has a great day!!! I’ll be online later on this evening…wish me luck!!!

Before I leave; I’d like to ask…

Do you feel any anxieties before family arrives? Do you care that I share some of my personal life with you or would you rather me keep it simple with the usual reviews and giveaways?

  1. I definitely feel anxiety before family arrives or before I have to visit them. Especially one particular side of my family, they make you feel like your have to impress them and I dread it most of the time.

I think that you should be able to share some of your personal life, it is your blog after all.

Good luck Barb! I hope it all goes well :)
