Another must have for you guys; get your pocket books out for October 20, 2009!!!

KristinaTrain2acClayPatrickMcBride_smallI was given the opportunity to listen to Kristina Train’s new Debut Album- Spilt Milk and it is one smooth and soulful listening CD!

If you’ve ever listened to Nora Jones or Alicia Keys, you’ll agree with me one hundred percent. Kristina has that voice that resembles both these ladies together. She’s amazingly vocal, powerfully bluesy and deeply soulful when singing; she’ll have you breathless from the first minute you play her music.

Spilt Milk was recorded with Jimmy Hogarth, the sought-after British producer whose recent credits include Duffy, Corinne Bailey Rae and James Blunt.

KristinaTrain1acClayPatrickMcBride_2_smallKristina was born in New York City and raised in Savannah, Georgia. She sang in her church as well as her school choirs growing up. This, as you will see, had a profound effect on her work. By the time Kristina was 19, she was already singing professionally, but, through her mom’s attentiveness to her future; she reluctantly went to college at Athens, Ga. First. She attended college in Athens, Ga., and when she was done Blue Note was waiting.bluenote_logo_small

Train made several trips to London over the course of two years to write with Hogarth and White and in the end, she created Spilt Milk. It’s truly a beautiful CD with every song as riveting as the next.
