My daughter came home from school yesterday singing a song that made me stop what I was doing to hear her. Since Friday, she has probably sung this song more than a dozen times and each time that she sings it I’m impressed…
Now, if that isn’t teaching, then I don’t know what is. It makes me proud to see the homework they bring home, the songs they learn and the books they read. My daughter, since entering the first grade has simply blossomed and I thank, in part, the teachers that take so much pride in what they teach. My girls are learning something “educational” everyday and I couldn’t be happier.
Do your kids ever come home and share, with you, something amazing they learned at school? Have they ever stopped you in your tracks because of the sheer impressiveness of what they learned? If you have a story, share it with us…I’d love to hear about it.
