Jon Reep-Metro Jethro DVD/CD GIVEAWAY
Posted on October 20th, 2009 16 commentsTHIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED: Winner has been chosen using random.org…
CONGRATS to Comment # 6: Renee!!!!

What a funny-funny man he is. I listened to Jon Reep’s Metro Jethro CD and watched the DVD last night and I could hardly wait until this morning to tell you about him.
His stories, his jokes and his humor are amazing. He’s just got that small town hick attitude with that big-time comedic flare. Scripts like Nake-Etiquette- Rules for Nudity and Small Town-i-tude will have you grabbing at your ribs due to the pain inflicted from the laughter he’ll throw at ya!!
Jon Reep was born in Hickory, NC. He moved to Raleigh to earn a Bachelors of Arts degree in theater at North Carolina State University. He was the “Hemi guy” in Dodge’s Ram ad campaign- you remember him, don’t you? It’s the commercial where a redheaded hillbilly who leans out of a beat-up car and utters the, now famous, line: “That thing gotta Hemi?” yeah, I thought you’d remember him with that one.Jon has been a pretty busy person. Some of the places you might have seen him: NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”, Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” or you might have seen him on TBS’s “Pit Stop Comedy”, NBC’s “Late Friday”, or the ABC Sitcom “Rodney” as Officer Gerald Bob the dim-witted cop. The one place you might remember him most is in “Harold & Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay” released on April 25th, 2008.

I first saw Jon back in 2000 at a comedy club in Gatlinburg, TN. I have been a dedicated fan of his ever since. I honestly think that he is the funniest standup comic out there!
He also truly cares about his fans. He has kept contact with me, one way or another, for the past 9 years. I was lucky enough that Jon did a show here in my area back in 2005. Halfway through his show, he looked over and noticed I was in the audience. He then preceded to tell everyone when and how we met. He gets to know his fans…and remembers them. What other comedian does that?
I will ALWAYS be a huge Jon Reep fan! I told him 9 years ago when we met that he’d make it big….it’s awesome to see that his dream is coming true!
Thank you Jon for giving us all the gift of laughter!!!!

Well, a true comedian is a person that can make you laugh by talking about REAL stuff. Like Jon does. If you were raised in the south, you know exactly what he’s talking about, and you’ve more than likely experienced it. That’s what makes it so funny, THAT is REAL COMEDY!

I love stand up comedians. They can take the most serious circumstance and make it funny. Life is crappy but they can make you laugh at it and it be okay. Laughter is the best medicine, and stand up comedy is where you can get it by the case load. Most of what they joke about is true, and that is what is so funny about it. They have a way of telling what most people think, but are too afraid to say. Their delivery of their acts bring people together through laughter. And if in life I need a pick me up or just a good laugh…I know where to go, Stand up comedy.
