Helpful Web Sites for that last minute shopper

Have you ever wondered how to get your hands on great gifts (on a budget)? Have you ever wondered if the toys you purchase are really in tip-top shape for your little ones? Do you wish there was an easier way to find out about safety issues and toy recalls when you need them?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above; you’ll be happy to know that there is such a place (2 actually) that you can find all the answers to your questions and learn about safety facts all while getting the latest scoop on toys that are recognized as the “Oscars” of the toy industry.

  Places to go:

Toy Info (www.toyinfo.org) will provide you with all the tips you need when choosing the “right” toy for your little ones. From safety facts and discussion boards to free downloadable play guides and recall info; you are sure to find the latest information before purchasing your next toy.

Toy Awards (www.toyawards.org) is the place to go if you’re looking for toys that were nominated for the 2010 Toy of the Year Awards. This site will help you not only discover which toys the industry’s experts think are the best but, now, you and your kids can also have a say on your favorite toy picks (NOTE: register to win one or more of 11 prize packages).

At Toy Awards; you can download a holiday toy shopping list (PDF), choose your favorite toy in each of the categories listed, enter to win the toy category of your choice and most importantly; see the year’s hottest toys for all ages and interests…it’s so worth checking out-especially if you’re still shopping for gifts this year (like I am).

At Toy Info; you can find out about (and share) toy information with other parents through their, user friendly, discussion board and blog. You can also check out the latest info on toy safety facts, find answers to those frequently asked questions and check out the automatic recall notifications and much, much more.

Between both sites, I don’t think anyone will have a problem finding the right toy for the right price, the right toy on a budget and the right toy for your child’s age group.

One of the best things about being a blogger is this; getting information about sites and products I would have otherwise not been able to find myself. I know that I have many friends with kids and it makes me feel great to know that I can share sites like this with them. Our kids are important to us all and what better way to show we care then with a little extra effort in ensuring their safety with the toys they play with.

Disclosure: I am a member of Team Mom and was sent written information to share with my readers about how to make holiday shopping easier. I was not sent a product nor was I paid to advertise for these sites. I am, however, entered to win one of three ($100.00) customized packages of toys and games for sharing. Thank you.
