I had the pleasure of reviewing the latest CD from Zerobridge – There We Were, Now Here We Are and I must say, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Having a remarkable resemblance to some of the great alternative bands of the past; I’d have to say, I was very impressed and flat-out happy listening to the tunes on this CD.
I went through my teens during the 80s and was a sucker for listening to music from U2, REM, Depeche Mode, etc. So, when I heard Zerobridge, it took me back- way back, to a time when I was younger and care free. To a time when music meant everything and everything was about music. Those were the days.
This rock/alternative band trio, based out of New York City, features an array of sounds that only Mubashir Mohi-ud-Din (singer/guitarist), Mohsin Mohi-ud-Din (drummer) and Greg Eckelman (bassist) can bring to life. Please take a moment to read their bio on their MySpace page. It’s interesting to read and brings so much life to their music through understanding where they came from.
Zerobridge- You guys are awesome and I can’t wait to hear what you release in the spring of 2010- I’ll be waiting. Keep rockin’ and thanks for the great tunes!!!
