I think I’ve finally done it! I’ve decided to plan this huge, fantastically fun trip to Disney World for this summer and I can’t wait!!!

My husband and I have always put a family vacation on the back burner because we thought there was no way we’d ever have the money to do it,  much less spend some fun money if we did go. But, after finding out about Disney World’s newest discount offers and perks- there’s absolutely no reason to pass this up.

  After taking a few moments and visiting the Destinations in Florida web page, and learning about the newest discounts- I can only imagine the money we’ll be saving (to turn around and spend on (and spoil) the kids). Did I mention the rate code Mommy that can be applied- to get a cool Mommy Pack? Each Mommy Pack comes straight from Magic Kingdom Park and includes (for each child in the home):

1. Disney Park autograph book (one per child)

2. Mickey Mouse Ears hat

3. Autograph pictures (personalized to each child and signed by Mickey Mouse)

I can’t tell you how excited I am right now. Not because we’ll be going to only the coolest destination in the world, but because we finally have that dream of doing it. We are finally at that point in our lives where “affording it” is possible. You can bet I’m taking full advantage of this situation (for the kid’s sake). Well, maybe a little excitement stems from the fact that I’ll be 36 next month and I have never been to a Disney Resort- ever! So, when my husband and I talked about (our very possible road trip) the other night, it felt great! The fun part, though, was silently speaking of our big plans for this summer while our kids were completely unaware (sitting in the next room).

Now, we haven’t told them yet, and we don’t plan to, because we’re awaiting that “special moment”. We want it to be at a time that they least expect it and a time when they’d be most excited to hear the news. Yes, I’m a glutton for punishment when it comes to loud chaotic noises ravishing my ear lobes; I can’t help it though, I love to see my kids experience that type of joy. It makes me feel alive (and old) LOL.

Wish me luck- this will be the very first “family vacation” we’ve ever taken. Oh, and you can bet I’ll be documenting every moment. From the time we share the news with our kids to the day we arrive home from our dream trip. OMG- I can’t wait!!!!
