So I had C. Rider’s kids last night, and…as I sit here this morning, drinking my coffee, they’re happily entertaining themselves with a fun game of BINGO. This is a usual occurrence between C. Rider’s kids and mine. It gives the kids a chance to hang out and play while also giving us parents a night of free play.
As you guys know. I do have a son, but he’s too “old” for cartoons, but Bug isn’t. Bug is C. Rider’s son. He’s a seven year old boy that is very much into all things “boy”. He’s one of those kids that, much like his mother, naturally attract people their way. I think it’s the energy around them…who knows, but bug is a kid you cant help but “hang out” with. Last night was no different. At first, he seemed a little quite, much like he always does, but once I pulled out Planet Hulk and asked if he’d help me “review” it, he perked up. It was actually pretty cute.
Anyways, he and I watched the whole movie together. I’m telling you- this boy was totally absorbed in what was on the screen. So much so that even the girls screaming and singing in the background didn’t faze him. Oh, and if I left the room for a minute, he’d fill me in on everything I missed.
In the end, I had practically every child in the room watching the movie with us. It was a hit!
Oh, I did a little “interview” with bug when it was over (makes kids feel involved):
Me: Who was your favorite character in the movie?
Bug: Hulk
Me: What was your favorite part of the movie?
Bug: When everyone cheered for the hulk!
Me: Was it a good movie?
Bug: no words- just a huge DIPPLY smile and two thumbs up
Me: Do you think other kids should watch it?
Bug: every boy
Yes, it was a short “interview”, but I thought he’d get a kick out of it, and he did. Especially when I gave him the movie and said thank you very much for helping. I think that made his whole night!

My grandson who is 5 would love to watch this with his grandpa. He seems to be really into all the action heroes these days. This posting reminds me of the TV series who was played by Bill Bixby who died from terminal cancer. I enjoyed watching this series very much. Thanks for the opportunity to add this DVD to our library.

Boy- was it ever! I love having C. Rider’s kids over. Not only does it keep mine entertained, it keeps her kids amused (LOL).
I even did a few hair cuts on 3 of the girls…they look so-o-o cute!
