Affiliate T-shirts arrived and We wear them like Crazy

Don’t ask me, please, what happened to the last three drafts I wrote for this, because apparently, it floated away to never-never-NEVERLAND ;( LOL!!!!
Two weeks ago, Thursday I believe, we received a few T-shirts in the mail (upon request). I knew they were coming because I had not only requested a shirt, or two, I begged for them in reply to a newsletter I received from affiliate.com. See, Affiliate.com had their annual “Affiliate Summit” a while back and I wasn’t able to make it. Luckily, without having to do anything stupid on camera to receive a few, they happily sent them my way with only a request that I blogged about why I liked them and if I’d wear them. Easy. To top it off, all affiliates that blog about the shirts are entered into a giveaway to win $1000.00 cash and $1000.00 donated to Haiti Relieve (in their name)…that made it even more exciting. So here I sit, writing again; trying to remember everything I wrote the last few times…
I was actually more than excited when they arrived because we (hub and I) had a big weekend planned for the whole family; full of shopping, eating out and going to a big birthday party the following Saturday (last weekend). It was all planned out. Hub and I were going to wear the shirts all day long and take pictures at every place we stopped at and blog about it later.
Luckily, our plans worked out and we did go shopping, ate out and worked our way to the birthday party (which led into a long night of playing poker with a group of friends). That party by the way went into the following morning; ending at about 2:30am. Unfortunately- we didn’t take but one picture throughout the day (showing the shirts). We got so taken by the fun that we simply forgot. It wasn’t until we had shopped till we dropped and ate until we were overly stuffed that we remembered we wanted to take pictures (our idea). By then it was simply too late to redo anything…sorry.
The only picture I took was this one:
I’m telling you- these shirts were amazing. We got a lot of lookers and a whole lot of smiles as we walked by. I don’t know if it was our loud and happy behavior we were displaying or the cool shirts my husband and I were wearing. Either way, we seemed to have attracted a lot of attention to ourselves. It was all in good fun and the kids had a blast. They are totally jealous though. My son even mentioned that if I shrunk dad’s shirt, he’d gladly wear it for him…yea, I bet he would.
We are actually putting in a request (right now) about another T-shirt must-have design, for kids. Hear me out…the kids T-shirts should be designed with a Joker in mind. If you do, and only if, you decide to design one for the young, I want first dibs for my kids. CJ wears an adult medium, Patience wears a child medium and Piper wears a child small…just so you know
We’ve actually considered going to our local “glamour shots” if we happen to get a shirt for the kids. We’ve all agreed on how much fun this would be. We’re all eagerly awaiting what will become of our great idea (LOL); for you of course. Seriously though, we want the whole family to have in on the fun of wearing these T’s…please!!!!
Anyways, I really wanted to post this up now. I know I don’t have more pictures to show at the moment, but I will shortly. I’ll be getting ready momentarily and will take a picture, or two, of me wearing the T (but you have to promise not to laugh- I’m not “photogenic” by any means).
Oh yea, (PS) here’s another “just so you know”. This is how the day played out last Saturday (sporting our T’s):
- woke up and had coffee, showered and headed out the door (wearing our matching Affiliate.com shirts)
- went for a doctor’s appointment for the little ones (came out good, I’ll write a post about that later)
- went to lunch (Chick-fil-A). It was very, very busy by the way
- went to Shoe Carnival (great place for shoes- lots of people)
- went to best buy (lots of stares, smiles and pointers)
- went to Old Navy (lots of people, lots and lots of smiles @ us)
- went to the mall (lots and lots of people)
- went to Chili’s (lots of hungry people staring while they waited for their food)
- went to Wal-Mart (lots of people)
- went to Kohls (big sales- lots of people)
- STILL WEARING OUR SHIRTS
- went to a friend’s birthday party…lots of happy-go-lucky celebrating people!!!!
The whole day was a blast and we’d do it again (in a heart beat)!
Even though I only took one, it does look great in that picture, doesn’t it? The bad thing is, the picture doesn’t do the shirt justice. Just so you know, they are so much cooler when you have them in front of you. They are so much softer than they look, the colors are much richer, and even have this distressed effect on the edges of the sleeve and collar. They are definitely some high quality T’s; they spared no expense when designing and making these shirts.
Tom, Affiliate.com; thank you so much. These shirts are truly amazing and I’m so glad you sent them our way. You can bet we’ll be sporting these around again (and again, and again, and again).

I would say that you and your family had a fantastic time together. I have never heard of the store Koals. I would say you couldn’t of added one more activity in the full day! Glad you and your family had a GREAT time and enjoyed the shirts. BTW I will not ask about what happened to the three drafts.

Thanks Steve…yea, I don’t think we could have possibly fit anything more into that day- it was a blast thought; wouldn’t have changed the day for nothing.
Kohls is a great store. It’s a clothing, home decorating, shoe type of super store…I love it!!!
Blogfully yours,
Barb
Yes we have Kohls here as well, I was wondering if it was the same store. Great pictures.

Thanks…I thought they were pretty cute pictures too. I used my Mino- that thing can do just about anything…
Yes, it was my fault. I realized I spelt Kohls wrong- dangit!!!
Thanks for catching that.

Thanks Renee!
Yea, the shirts are definitely very eye-catching! LOL
I adore them though. They’re not like any other “affiliate” type shirt; that’s for sure!
I just hope Affiliate.com reads my post, likes my idea (for kids’ T’s) and I’m chosen the winner- that would be perfect!!!
Blogfully yours,
Barb
