Title: The Napkin The Melon & The Monkey A customer Service Fable
|
![]() |
I was thrilled to have been given the opportunity to read this book; especially since I am so, so, SO into reading “self help/improvement” books. You wouldn’t know it, by reading, that this is a customer service fable either; it’s that good!!!
Hats off to Barbara Burke for writing such a compelling book! I absolutely loved it and will be recommending this to everyone I know.
The Napkin The Melon & the Monkey is a book that will leave you in a “self reflective” status. What I mean by this is; it will have you analyzing your “ways”. It’s a book that can teach you (whether fable or not) how to be happy and successful at work and in life by simply changing your mind. I should know, I read the book (couldn’t put it down very long) in about 3 and a half hours (start to finish) and now, have a new found advantage on the way situations in my life will be handled.
The book is intended for everyone, don’t get me wrong, but it is geared toward anyone who has ever had to deal with a disgruntled customer (that would be about 99% of the earth’s population-LOL). Here’s what others have said after reading this book:
Michael Carroll, Former Vice President, The Walt Disney Company Author of Awake at Work states: “In this modern day fable, Barbara offers keen insight and practical advice for providing excellent customer service with a human touch. I highly recommend this powerful book, along with Barbara’s training program, to those companies who want to distinguish themselves as truly great providers of customer service.”
Judy Heinen, Customer Care Development, Otter Tail Power Company states: “We enjoyed using Barbara’s wonderful book as the focus of our Annual Customer Care Conference. Our customer care representatives loved its positive message of personal empowerment. If you are looking for a special book that will energize and inspire your employees to be the best that they can be—this is it!”
Now, these are just two of the many people that are finding this book so useful. As I said before, yes, it’s geared toward people that deal with customers, but it can also be used on a personal level to help manage, better and fulfill happiness in your life. It really is a self improvement book that is sure to fit everyone’s needs to do better, both at work and at home.
