Doodle Run App Review

Okay, this one is quirky. Not that I can say that I didn’t enjoy it, because I did- a lot, but it is quirky…

This is a game my son got a real kick out of, but then again, he enjoys zombies, bombs and hero “dudes”. My daughters laughed at it. They couldn’t figure out how to play it without loosing (within a few seconds), but they thought it was funny to watch and weren’t too disappointed that they couldn’t figure it out.

The graphics are amazing. To play the game, you are literally jumping from page to page to page in this dangerous doodle world. You have to wiggle the page up and down with your fingers to get hero dude to jump to the next page. You have to watch out though because if you “die” your head gets severed from your body and falls feet away from the rest of you. That’s okay. All you have to do is drag hero dude’s head back to his shoulders and you’re off and running again. I’m telling you- it’s quirky, but so much fun. Oh, and get this…if you score high enough and want to brag about it- just use the twitter tab in the game and bam- tweet sent!

Super Newtronic Game APP Review

I’ve been playing a lot more games lately; since becoming a part of the Game Review Network and I’m really enjoying it, really I am, but, with this comes a problem…I’m not getting any work done because I’d rather be playing new games then working.

The latest culprit for my inability to work- Super Newtronic. Yes, this game is undoubtedly the one keeping me from getting things done. The evil little genius that developed a game that involves a mischievous metal ball and colorful blocks needing to be broken- that’s why I’m not getting anything done lately. Oh and the time, that dreaded timed clock that keeps me from defeating a level so that I can move onto the next…you loose your self in this game. I don’t know how many times I’ve told my kids, “Just a minute” and “I cant look now, I’m being timed, hold on”. Yes, it’s going to happen to you to.

When they say “it’s like no other block breaking game”, they aren’t fibbing. It really is “like no other”. Sir Newton’s physics will definitely captivate you from the second you begin playing it. It has revolutionary iPhone/iPod touch controls, addictive game play and is extremely impossible to set down – even for a second. You’ll literally find yourself playing this game with no sign of giving up. There are over 50 unique levels that require you to solve puzzles and you’re going to need the skill to break the blocks before time runs out so keep watching the time. It even has 9 different possible endings based on the path you decide to take. Yes, you determine the outcome. In each level, you have a choice of two different game plays.

Oh, and don’t think you can just start the game over if you can’t defeat it; ha-ha, nope- ain’t happening (been there, done that and it’ll taunt you till you get it done). When you start the game again, it’ll be right there, waiting; waiting for you to beat it- right where you left off (LOL).

Monday Moments Part 3 + Giveaway

My gosh- time passes so quickly. I can’t believe it’s Monday (already) again!

I literally sat on my rocker the entire weekend watching Lifetime and A&E while I vegetated…and attempted to stay off my feet. I wasn’t alone though because I had my girls to enjoy it with. What surprised me most is seeing that the girls were actually enjoying the “vegetating” right along with me. It was unbelievable- especially for girls that can’t stay still. Oh, they hung out with me all weekend, except when Kid’s Choice Awards aired on Nickelodeon- that’s the only time they were upstairs and away from me.

I (and the girls) watched it all. The premier of Kristie Alley’s Big Life, the marathon of Gene Simmons Family Jewels (leading up to season 5), the Natalee Holloway story, Amish Grace (sad, sad, harrowing story), The Pregnancy Pact. You name it, we watched it.

These type of shows simply grab me, and it’s not that I “enjoy” these stories, per say. I mean, I do enjoy them but not in the way that you’d think. I love that every one of these shows (stories, movies, features) capture every bit of emotions from me. I laugh, cry, hurt, and, and then some. I like that they make me appreciate what I have a little more, that it reminds me about the beautiful things in my life (kids, husband, health, a house, etc.). Shows like the ones on lifetime make me want to hold my kids just a little tighter (and boy do they make me cry). The shows on A&E are reality at it’s finest, and I’m not talking the fighting, bickering and stupid nonsense that normally airs on the other shows. I’m talking true to life reality shows that you want to sit and watch. I love them…

Real Trophy Hunting app from iTunes

I just need to start by saying- hunting is a big ordeal in my home. My husband is a hunter and a long time Taxidermist. Almost every corner of our home reflects our love for the outdoors. From art work by Herb Booth and John P. Cowen to a few of my husband’s personal trophies; just waking in our home blatantly expresses our love for this stuff. This love is so strong that it extends into annual memberships & committee involvements (by my husband) to organizations such as SEA, Dallas Safari Club, etc. (there’s more, but you get the idea). My point is; hunting, fishing and the great outdoors is everything to us, so when the chance to review this app came up, I was all there.

So far, my kids have expressed a lot of enjoyment for this game. I actually think my middle child is addicted to it more than anyone else (only because she doesn’t really give anyone else a chance to play it). check out this quick video from YouTube (a commercial- kinda)…makes you want to go to iTunes and get it now.
