There’s a lot going on with Princess Tiana lately- with the release of Disney’s The Princess and the Frog (today), The Disney Princess Royal Court Star-Studded Crowning event in New York City and so much more; who wouldn’t want to be happy for her?
We received our copy of The Princess and the Frog yesterday. Since then it’s been viewed twice (once last night and then again this morning). I really, really, really, really love this movie! To say it was great is an absolute understatement. For the girls and I; I’d have to say it’s a spectacular movie. From the very first scene and into the very extraordinary fairytale wedding we all wanted and wished for as a child- the movie is beautiful. Oh, and the music; the music is awesome! A million times over- we love this movie!
In celebration of today’s release (and because I was sent the latest press release for Princess Tiana); I wanted to share a few pictures of Princess Tiana’s Correlation event:

Synopsis:
Disney celebrates a modern-day classic from the directors of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. Discover what really happened after the princess kissed the frog in an inspired twist on the world’s most famous kiss. The hilarious adventure leaps off the screen with stunning animation, irresistible music and an unforgettable cast of characters.
Enter Princess Tiana’s world of talking frogs, singing alligators and lovesick fireflies as she embarks on an incredible journey through the mystical bayous of Louisiana. Spurred on by a little bit of courage and a great big dream, these new friends come to realize what’s truly important in life…love, family and friendship.
Overflowing with humor and heart, The Princess And the Frog is an incredible motion picture experience your whole family will want to enjoy again and again!
The girls and I loved this film so much, but here are just a few great characters we fell in love with (without spoiling too much of it for you); Mama Odie and her infamous Dig a little Deeper song- just PER-R-R-R-FECT!, Lewis- the amazing trumpet playing (friend to all) alligator (we loved him so much), Ray- the cute gotta-love light bug that grabs everyone with his joyous attitude and will to help (no matter how small he is) and all the other wonderfully beautiful characters within this film. There wasn’t a dull moment in this movie. Every single screen captured our hearts, laughter, tears and joys. The movie will go down (in our house) as one of the best Disney films yet (and that’s a big statement to write- especially when Disney has a trillion wonderful “best-film” ever badges in our home)…
Disney has a reputation for being amazing when it comes to capturing every part of us through film. From whisking our little girls to places far, far away to keeping our little boys rugged and brave; Disney keeps our imaginations growing (at any age). So, anyways, please don’t forget that this movie hits shelves everywhere today. Buy it online or at your local super center- just get out there and get it today. It’s definitely worthy of purchase!
It’s hard to tell you about this movie, if in fact, you hadn’t had the pleasure of seeing it yet. I don’t want to spoil the film enjoyment with anyone…all I can say is- It’s an absolute-must-see!!!

The music in this Disney film is outstanding. Randy Newman has created many of Disney’s sound tracks along with the songs in this film. I really thought that this movie might win an Oscar for best animation, but I have admit it was up against Up. LOL and UP was also a truly outstanding movie. GREAT review.
I agree- top notch music there. I am definitely going to be purchasing that soundtrack for myself (good cleaning music- gets you movin’)!
Hi! Following you from MBC. I can’t wait to see this movie – I wonder if my 2 year old would like it, or if he’s a little too young for it?
I think he’d like it. There’s a lot going on in this movie and I’m almost sure of it being enough to keep him entertained.
I remember when the Lion King came out- my son was pretty young and he’d watch it over and over and over again…He was around two at the time. I’d try it! If he doesn’t…at least you know you’ll love it!
Blogfully yours,
Barb
