DVT FREE and Clear

Yes, no blood clot!!!! I’m happy to be sitting, at home, on my computer writing this post. I was such an emotional wreck last night over the whole thing. I was so scared that I had a hard time falling to sleep (yes, I become a little overdramatic at times). But I’m here, no clot and…the mystery is still on!

Since March 7th; my right foot has been retaining water and has been pretty swollen as well. This ‘all-of-the-sudden’ ailment hasn’t given any signs of wanting to heal and the doctors are just as baffled as I am. I told my husband this morning, after the Doppler exam, that I needed to be featured on “Mystery Diagnosis” because it’s been just that- a mystery. A mystery as to why my foot, over night, became so swollen that I couldn’t wear shoes for a long time, so swollen that even a water pill hasn’t worked. Not a single medicine, X-ray or antibiotic has fixed it or even given any word of what this might be. We’ve spent more money than we’d like to- just to be told, “nope, it’s not that”. I’m literally going insane over this. I know my friends are probably pretty sick of hearing me complain about this too. **To everyone who’s had to listen to me babble on about this, I’m sorry***

So now what? I just need to sit here (patiently); waiting for the doctor to call me to let me know what’s next. I do know this. The doctor said if it was not a clot, she thought that maybe, just maybe, it could be a vein deficiency of some sort. More tests for this will follow until they figure it out (or until we run out of money). I know that the Doppler tech said I had really small veins, but that was all she said, except for – you’re clear.

I’ll keep you guys informed as I get information. It may take a while though so please bare with me.

Okay…back to work for me ;)

Blogfully yours,

Barb :)

Glad it wasn’t DVT and I hope they can get the next tests and steps done soon.

Thank you Steve…me too. I too hope they can get the next tests and steps started soon because I’ve gotta tell ya- it’s tough having a leg that doesn’t want to budge. I am tired of having to sit with my leg propped or my shoelaces untied or worse, my days wasted all because my foot and leg doesn’t want to work with me. ;)

I’ll definitely keep you guys updated on my status.

      Blogfully yours!!!!

We don’t mind the complaining (I’d be complaining too if my leg looked that painful!) we just wish you would get better! I’ll be praying and thinking about you.
