Phantasia Game APP Review

Oh how I love my job- especially when it entails “game play”…you know, to give you guys an honest opinion on my thoughts (he-he). Let me tell you ;) – Blogging does have its perks!

So here’s the latest game I’m so happily reviewing. It’s called Phantasia and it’s an action-puzzle game for kids and adults. It’s the type of game that challenges the player to save fairy dwarves. The dwarves have been imprisoned in colored spheres and are placed in lines that are constantly moving down as you try to eliminate the colored spheres around them. To eliminate the other colored spheres, you have to fire your colored sphere at spots of two or more spheres of the same color in order to destroy sections; releasing dwarves as you go.

The game is pretty fun overall (when I did get the chance to play it). Yes, remember…it’s my son’s iPod and I merely use it to review games. If he ends up liking a game that I need to review- more than me. Well, lets just say I’ve got to make the best of the time he “allots” me before he steals it for himself.

Do you remember as a little kid; getting a game that you had to share with your brothers or sisters; even when you didn’t want to. Well, that’s what was going on between my son and I. He really, really liked this game and didn’t like me playing it. He told me so; a few times over. In fact, thinking back on it now, that little stinker was rubbing it in; how far he was getting with it. He knows that I enjoy games that challenge the mind and your coordination. If you’re thinking, “how would it possibly challenge your coordination?”. Simple. I move when I’m playing games. Moving your finger, fast, across a screen in order to hit the spheres and release the dwarfs takes a lot out of you. Not to mention when you mess up…poor little dwarfs. :(

As with many of the games I review; they get addicting…and this game is no different. In fact, I asked my son this morning; if you can describe this game in one word, what would it be? His answer: AMAZING!!! That’s coming straight from the mouth of a sixteen year old who has yet to explain anything in that degree! He even asked if we can get the game for his girlfriend (because she asked)…how cute!!!

Yes, if you want to spend your money on a pretty AMAZING game then consider checking out Phantasia. My son totally thinks you should. He says it’s his favorite game so far (and the boy plays a lot of game)!!!

Here’s game info and links (enjoy):

  1. Looks like another fun game. Now if there were more than 24 hours in a day I would have more time for all these fantastic games.

  2. Okay Barb, your next mission should be to get a sponsor to let you give away an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad so those of us still living in the Dark Ages can try out some of these awesome apps you’ve been reviewing! ;) This one looks particularly fun. I love action-puzzle games.

    • Too funny! Yeah, I’ve thought of that and I’m looking. Maybe a PR will read your comment and say, “Hey, blogfully looks like a pretty cool site…let’s offer her up a review/giveaway opportunity”…haha. That’s what I’m hoping for.

Seriously though, the games are pretty cool and I’ve still got another 4 games to get written up and added to que. I’m working on it.

      :)

  3. @barb: That’s what I’m hoping for too! Can you imagine the traffic you’d get if you gave away an iPhone! lol
