The name sounds interesting doesn’t it? Silk- Pure Almond Milk…yum!!! If you think so too, then you’ll be thrilled to know that I’m going to offer up some free coupons and a cool little ChicoBag to a few of you.

If you’ve never tried Silk’s Pure Almond, or any of the other soy vanilla/chocolate, milks before; you may not know what your missing. I must confess, It’s not for everyone. It does have a taste that you acquire; especially for those that have drank the regular stuff for all your life. It is a bit different. The reason I say this is because I’ve had some friends say that they just cant get themselves to drink it and other’s that say it’s not the same. Exactly…it’s not the same. It has different nutritional values, it has a different flavor, etc., but it’s still great stuff. I happen to enjoy glasses of Silk Milk and I especially loved the Pure Almond when I tried it a few days ago.

When my daughter was younger (the middle one), we had a problem with her drinking “regular milk”. She, at the time, could not tolerate it and we didn’t know why. None of us had ever been “allergic to” or had any problems drinking milk so this was very new to us. After many visits to the doctor and many, many more trips to the grocery story (trying to find a milk she “can” drink). We came across the Vanilla Soy. She was only 1 and 1/2, so drinking milk was still new to her. Besides that, everything she had been drinking was giving her problems. Being the worried parent- I was willing to stop at nothing to help her ailing tummy. I mean, seriously, we knew we had to do something because we felt she needed it. It was a success. Her tummy was tolerating it, she seemed to be getting better (you know; poopin’ and that sort of thing). So since that time, we have used this milk (off and on). I actually love using Silk’s soy vanilla milk when baking. You’d be amazed at how awesome goodies can actually taste with it; especially if the recipe calls for vanilla, almonds or even chocolate.
