Tiger Eye Curse Of the Riddle Box For Windows

From bestselling author Marjorie M. Liu’s novel Tiger Eye comes Curse of the Riddle Box. This game (for your PC) corresponds to the first half of the book and takes place in China; concluding in the United States. This game is expected to release on April 28th (Mac release will follow soon after May), but it can be pre-ordered by going here.
FYI: the game copy I received via download wasn’t a very polished game yet (it’s an early version), but the game play itself is pretty impressive (so far). Basically speaking; the storyboards and plot scenes are still black & white and some of the puzzle games were missing (or not added yet), but all and all, I was able to play it enough to gather an idea of my liking to this game.
I always enjoy “search and find” hidden object- style adventure games. Games where your job is to locate missing puzzle pieces throughout a scene, unlocking different games in the process. These are the type of game where you have to put your thinking cap on and really pay attention to the little details in each frame. These sorts of games always seem to put me in a state of concentration, unaware of my surroundings and simply forgetting things away from the screen.
Adults alike will find this game to be very interesting (especially women, since this one is created for adult women). What’s unique about this one is that each episode will be available as a stand-alone game for an ARP of $6.99, but players will have the option to purchase the games as part of a larger package which include soundtracks, artwork and strategy guides.
Here’s some detailed information on the game:
Play as the beautiful and psychically-gifted Dela Reese, who is hurtled into an extraordinarily dangerous situation soon after purchasing an ancient riddle box in a Beijing dirt market. After Dela arrives back at her hotel room and manages to open the riddle box, she is shocked to encounter a gorgeous 7-foot tall warrior, who had been imprisoned in the box for 2,000 years. The warrior, Hari, has been cursed to serve as a slave to whomever opens the box. While Dela, a strong 21st century woman, is repulsed by the idea of controlling another human being, there are others who desperately seek the box’s power and will stop at nothing to obtain it. Help Dela escape assassins, win the respect and love of Hari, and lift the evil curse that strips Hari of his freedom.

In the end, I can definitely say that it was, in fact, an enjoyable game. I gladly took time away from my day to indulge in some search and find activities and even got flustered a few times (cause I just couldn’t find the last piece on a few levels). My kids even enjoyed (watching me play) the game. Yes, I was a little stingy with this one. I’m the one who plays these type of games. If I do let the girls play; they always end up asking me to help them play it, which ends up with me actually playing the game anyways. It’s fun that way, but it gets old when you’re always playing “half-played” games…if you’re a parent- I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.
Disclosure: I received a downloadable “standard” copy of this game as a member of The Game Review Network to help validate my review. Thank you.

I like the graphic picture you have on your post for this game. I am still playing several games on my iPhone so I will most likely keep playing these for awhile. Thanks for a Great review.
