Yoplait winner and Some Birthday Pictures

So yesterday was my baby girls birthday bash for her 7th birthday (which is actually today!) Yep, 7 years ago I gave birth to the last of our three kids. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIPER- WE LOVE YOU!!!

Here’s a little story about how she came into this world. At four months into the pregnancy; I almost lost her. These complications (being dilated to 4 cm at 4 1/2 months) caused the doctors to put me on strict bed rest for practically the entire pregnancy. She was born 6 weeks pre-mature weighing in at 5 lbs. 0 oz. (17 inches long). Within one hour; she had dropped to 4 lbs. 7 oz. and was in need of special care. The hospital where I gave birth to her was not equipped to handle a NICU baby, so, she was transported to the nearest NIC-Unit about 45 minutes away (following a speeding ambulance). Her real due date was set for, around, May 28th but that little bugger was ready and willing on April 18th, 2003 (on a Good Friday). Needless to say, aside from her small stature, you’d never know she was a preemie at birth. She’s one spunky, stubborn, vivacious and active little runt. It just wouldn’t be the “Baker” family without her…definitely a keeper!

Okay, this was supposed to be a quick post since today is her birthday and she’s getting a little antsy about me being on the computer. So, with that said. I’m going to leave you with a few photos of yesterday’s events and I’ll write a more in-depth post later.
