Let me just say that Mom Central treats Blogfully so-o-o-o good! Thanks so much!!!
Being a member of the community @ Mom Central means that I gain opportunities such as this one; to talk about and share some insights and tools needed to maintain our “tween’s” confidence during the very difficult transition from child to teenager. Unilever- the maker of Degree, Dove and Suave deodorants have aligned with a roster of community partners and have assembled a panel of experts to develop the educational website and resource called Don’t Fret The Sweat.
I know that having a child in their teens is tough. They are going through very difficult times. It’s bad enough having to deal with constant peer pressures and clicks but add the embarrassment of body odors and other discomforts of change on top of that. What you’ll end up with is a very chaotic mix of emotions and moments you just don’t want to see your child go through- been there, done that and it’s simply heart breaking, for anyone. Let me tell you- about six years ago, when my son was making his “transformation”, this site would have been so useful for me. Luckily it still is- I still have two more to go through – Lord Help ME!!!
At Don’t Fret the Sweat. You, as a parent, can find ways to tell your child they’re showering you with B.O. without actually offending them (very important). You can try the product match maker, which helps your kid gain confidence by finding just the right deodorant fit for them. You can soak up some much needed advice from experts that are their to help guide you through the world of sweaty teens and there’s even an “FAQ” section where you can find answers to some of the many questions you have about your transitioning teen.
I went through the site. First stopping at the product match maker. I was able to find out which deodorant would be best suited for my son (still an issue in my home). I was even given some advice on why this deodorant was chosen. Then I was offered a coupon for $1.25 off one or $3.00 off two. I chose the $3.00 coupon. I clicked on that offer, it opened a new window and I clicked print. That was it.
Next; I went to the FAQ section. This was pretty interesting because the very first question listed was one I have always wondered about. I just never thought to ask. Check it out. If you want to see more questions and answers just click on the image below and it will direct you to the page/in a new window:
I learned a few other things in the FAQ that I was unaware of.
After I got my fill on the FAQ I clicked on the Expert Advice tab. Again, no disappointment there. The page was filled with many articles that were not only relevant to a transitioning teen but also to the parents dealing with those teens. As an example, they have articles on confidence, conflict, peer pressure, puberty, relationships, school and school work. They have articles on trust, tweens, hormones and homework…and these are just a few of the articles you can read about.
If you’re interested in finding some Unilever coupons for some of the deodorant brands you already know and trust: click here. This will redirect you to the coupon page (in a new window).
I’m telling you- it’s a terrific site and I’m so happy I heard about it through Mom Central.
