I am an Official Aquafina FlavorSplash Mom

Aquafina Flavorsplash When I’m not drinking my coffee, or tea, water is what I drink (happily). Even the girls prefer water. I think it’s because we never gave them a choice when they were younger. I’d serve them a glass of water with every meal, snack or when they just needed to quench their thirst.

I’m not much on making flavored sugar drinks at all. In fact, my son (old enough to notice) says that what I make is colored water because I never put the amount of sugar the directions call for. Seriously, this is how I make them? Instead of using a 2 quart container for those flavored drinks, I use an old water bottle, the gallon size. Instead of using (I think) the 2 cups of sugar it asks for; I use one half of a cup. I add the little flavored packet, stir it all around and it’s done…you either drink it the way it’s been made, or, you drink “water”. Those are the choices.

When I do this, it’s not because I’m trying to torment the kids. I just don’t want them to be dependent on all those sugary carbonated drinks. I’d prefer them to drink the necessary stuff to keep them hydrated…not wired. For this reason, I am so excited about being an official Aquafina FlavorSplash Mom. It’s a special treat for me because all though I crave plain filtered water, I do enjoy having a little flavor now and then (without all the additives).

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing my thoughts on a few of the flavors that are introduced to me. This week, just yesterday, I received a six pack of the new Wild Berry Aquafina FlavorSplash water…and I LOVE it. My girls will agree. It has the natural flavors of sweet berries but without all the added sugars or calories and is very low in sodium (only 3% of the daily values based on a 2,000 calorie diet).

I went to the official website just moments ago and found out that they have committed themselves to helping make our world a little better. They are doing so by introducing the new Eco-Fina bottles. The bottles themselves are made using 50% less plastic than their 2002 bottles; Just another reason, for me, to start drinking more Aquafina water. **You can read more on their Refreshment Commitment by visiting www.aquafina.com.**

  1. We have purchased Aquafina flavored water in the past and enjoy the fresh flavors that they offer.

  2. I love Aquafina FlavorSplash. I have started buying it at work rather than a bottle of soda. The only flavors I have tried so far are lemon and Strawberry/Kiwi. The berry sounds wonderful. I will have to give it a try.

  3. Of course I’m a subscriber!
My daughter drank a lot of Sprite on our recent vacation to Florida because she didn’t care for the “sulfur” taste of the water in restaurants there. This is highly unusual for her; she drinks water almost always! By the end of our vacation, she was BEGGING for bottled water, which made me proud to know that she is not addicted to carbonated, sugary soft drinks! I think she would love to try Aquafina FlavorSplash.
