I had plans to write today; to make up for my lack of posting over the last few days. The point is; I can’t seem to get my mind to work with me. I’m still recovering from a fun, busy and entertaining weekend with the family.

I really had so much fun this weekend. My mother, sisters, brother-in-law and six nieces and nephews came to visit me on Friday and left yesterday around 3pm. I cleaned the aftermath of having 15 people (my family included) in the house over the weekend. They didn’t leave it a mess, but I had to catch up on my laundry, sweep, mop, cook dinner, wash dishes, get the kids ready for school; all while trying to get everyone to bed at a reasonable hour. Unfortunately I didn’t get to bed until 11:30 last night. This morning I woke at 6:25 to get the kids off to school. Since then…well, let’s just say I’ve been staring at the computer.

My mother called this morning to let me know she made it home just fine and that the kids had so much fun (that’s always great to hear). My kids had a blast too. So much so that they were cranky last night and this morning. The youngest refused to get out of bed until seven and it was a struggle still just to get her moving and out the door before the school bell rang.

As if this weekend’s activities weren’t enough; today, my first born turns 17. I can’t believe it. I feel so old (LOL). Being as drained as I am, I think I’ll just go and buy him a small cake. We gave him his birthday gift on Thursday for fear that he wouldn’t be able to enjoy it with the amount of people coming. We bought him a 22 inch flat screen TV and a T-shirt. Of course, we also had cake and ice cream on Saturday.

Well guys. As much as I’d love to share everything that happened, this will have to wait (at least a day). I will be back on track with writing tomorrow. Please come back soon!
