Out of Office, from FedEx, is all the rave on the blogosphere right now. Mom’s are learning about the awesome crafty ideas offered online for projects at home and at work.

From gifts and craft ideas to party planning and organizational to-do’s; kid projects and spring cleaning tips. You will find so much useful information at Out of Office this summer.

What I liked about the blog is that it has a weekly round-up of some of the best project ideas from the net. You can even send some of your own spring/summer projects to the Out of Office team through the “talk to us” tab and your idea could actually be featured on the blog in the coming months. It’s even a great place to turn photos and kid’s artwork into great presents and fun craft projects. Kids can create their own too.

Out of Office is definitely a home helper if I ever saw one. The blog and bloggers make visiting the site so inviting. You almost want to stay there for hours on end; just reading what they have to say, using the tools they offer and just commenting and sharing in conversation with other moms and dads. It’s amazing.

I was sent a kit which included a box of crayons, ribbons, stickers and bookmark templates (you can find your templates, and others by visiting this page). Needless to say, I don’t have any after shots. The girls and I had fun making our very own bookmarks for our summer reads but then they decided to take them to school to show their teachers and I haven’t seen them since. They wanted to show their teacher the cool crafty bookmarks they created with mom. They also thought it’d be great to get them laminated, so they had plans to ask if their teachers would be willing to laminate them. I’m sure I’ll see them in their bags today.Their summer vacation officially begins at 1pm CST this afternoon (it is currently 10am). They should have that and many other goodies coming in the door at that time. Hopefully I can grab their bookmarks and share, with you, their creative side…

Receiving this kit was fun. Now, I don’t know about you, but for my kids…if we hit the stationary section at our local store, they’re thrilled. They love paper, pens, crayons, markers, stickers, ribbons, yarn, etc. Pretty much anything they can get their hands. Anything that can help them create something…even scissors. Sadly, scissors have actually been banned from Patience because every time she holds a pair it seems like everything “needs to be cut”; I don’t know about that little one! So, yes, I had to cut the templates when they were done designing them.

There are many templates to use, bloggers to follow and ways to subscribe (that way you aren’t missing anything). If you have the time, I hope you’ll visit. I really enjoy the site and will continue to frequent this summer. I know my girls will love the fact that I just printed out the Kite template. I mean, just because they start their summer vacation doesn’t mean that it starts mine. I’m going to need this site to help keep my kids and I sane.

All and all; I really think that everyone who visits Out of Office will be happy. I’ve enjoyed my visits so far and definitely plan on sharing news of the blog with others. To sum it up- Out of Office is a great resource place for projects, tips, fun and teachings. Make sure you check it out!
