It’s a game…an RPG-“inventory” style game where you must survive long enough to be rescued; on an island…far, far away…without a phone. Could you imagine?
The object of this game is simple. Search for natural resources and then use them to create other items. You need to build shelter, find food and collect salvageable parts from wreckage that’s washed ashore in order to build a space radio and call for a rescue team and that’s when you win the game. Yes, I know, it sounds easy enough, but let me assure you. It’s not. I mean, it is, but it isn’t.
CJ and I couldn’t quite get the hang of the game. We had fun, the graphics were cool, but it was kind of tough for us. I haven’t beat the game yet, nor has CJ, and I think it’ll be a while before we do. I’ve gotta be honest. I found it difficult to stay focused on the game. I almost felt as though I was walking around the island in circles with not much success. Granted, I gathered quite a few items; some boulders, some sticks, some wreckage…but I still couldn’t figure out how to use the items in order to build shelter and I definitely couldn’t catch any fish for food.
Now, please don’t get me wrong. It’s a really cute game. The idea is fantastic, especially with the way people are about having their phones. I really love the idea behind the game and I am going to continue to play it until I figure it out.
I wanted to share with you, some of the details for the game.

This game is available @ iTunes for $1.99. It was recently updated on February 3, 2010 with a current version of 1.3. The current customer ratings for this game is 3 of 5 stars from 704 individuals. It’s compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iPhone OS 3.1.2 or later.
Overall- even though my son and I couldn’t quite grasp the game. If I had to “rate” this game on a scale from 1 to 5 (with 5 being the best and 1 being the worst) I would gladly give it a 3. I really cant get over how cool the concept of the game is and how cute the graphics are. The picture, above, for this game is what attracted me to it in the first place.
Lastly; if you’re wondering; would I still recommend it others? Yes I would…because it really is a cute game. I’d also make sure to tell them to read the full item guide before playing too.
