Kung ZHU Party- 3 Times Over

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great Hump Day!

I am actually enjoying the peace and quiet at my sister’s house this morning. The kids are still fast asleep as they had the most active past few days. Well, my girls have been pretty active for the past few weeks, but who’s counting?

Last week (just as we made it home from Arkansas) we received a package in the mail. It was a bit of a surprise, but a wonderful one at that. Now mind you; we had just arrived home at 4:30AM that very same morning. I wasn’t quite prepared to be woken by FedEx at 9:25AM nor was I even expecting anything at the time, but hey, what can I say? A blogger’s job is never done

So there we were, half asleep, opening a box of unknown goodies. At first they didn’t know what it was but after a few small shifts of a box they saw it. It didn’t take long for their adrenaline to spark- once they saw what was in it. This box was filled to the rim with the latest Kung Zhu pets, armor and accessories. The girls didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. For the girls; it was like hitting the lottery.

The girls weren’t the only ones amazed at the delivery. I was pretty shocked too (that’s actually a huge understatement). I mean, I remember signing up for the chance to take part in this campaign but I wasn’t sure if I’d get it; especially since I was probably one of hundreds of other bloggers hoping and trying for the same thing. I didn’t even tell the girls about it just in case I wasn’t chosen. Needless to say- I was and I’m so grateful for it. It has made my girls, their friends and all my nieces and nephews the happiest ever!!!

We couldn’t wait to “Get the Party Started” so we decided to do what we do best; invite friends over for a Kung Zhu Sleepover. We actually had two of them- two days in a row. Most of their friends are on family vacations, so finding a friend to come over was a little tough…but we managed to successfully find one for one night and two the night after that. Afterwards, when we unexpectedly took our trip to San Antonio (which we’re currently doing); we decided to pack the entire Z-line and bring it with us.

Let me just say…it has been nonstop Kung Zhu action since then. We haven’t even thought of tearing down the sets-yet. It’s far too fun to even consider doing such a terrible thing. All 8 kids would have us hung!

On a more serious note.The putting together and taking apart of each set was pretty easy. I do think that putting it together is a boy’s thing. My brother-in-law did a far better job of utilizing every piece that came in each set. Much better than I did. I think after I set it all up; we had about a half a dozen pieces still left unused and a few other accessories I couldn’t find a place for.

As for the Kung Zhu pets. Every child got to choose the one they wanted (along with the armor). A few of my daughter’s friends had never had one before so it was extra special for them. My nieces and nephews, on the other hand, have been collecting Zhu Zhu pets since they were first released. They don’t have a gazillion of them, but they have a few (each). For them, the thing that excited them most was being able to play with the entire play set in the Z-Line. This was the best ever and I was considered the “favorite” aunt (still am).

A lot of fun, laughs and screams were going on; way into the night and into the next morning and it didn’t stop there. After the kids were finally put to bed (2:AM); my mother, sister, the girls and I headed over to my mother’s house to sleep. I thought my sister and her kids were going to bed too. I had no idea that my sister and her husband were going to rearrange the whole thing and play with it a little themselves. It was pretty comical when my mother and I heard about it the following morning…but anyways. This is how it looked the following morning when we returned:

As you can tell- he did an amazing job at using everything. He even added my nieces Zhu Zhu play set she had already had. It just added to the already huge look it had. My niece was pretty happy too, that her daddy added her piece for everyone to enjoy.

A lot of pictures…I know, but I couldn’t help it. Every bit of sharing this party package with friends and family was amazing (to say the least). My girls had so much fun (as did everyone else). Thanks Mom Select & Kung Zhu; for making this experience the best ever.

Just a few details about Kung Zhu:

The Delta Forces tribe is made up of Rocko and Stonewall, who team up with Rangers Duke and Sergeant Serge. Also on the side of good are Kung Zhu Ninjas Drayko and Yama. While each of these hamsters have their own zany and determined personality, they join together with one goal in mind- to keep the no-good warriors from the Skull Tribe, Azer and Thorn, from wreaking havoc on the Zhu-niverse!

PS- I’m still visiting my Mother’s, by the way, and I’ll have more to tell you when I return home. It is currently very difficult to write anything with umpteen kids at every corner of the house.

PSS- If I sound like I’ve stumbled over my own words or couldn’t correctly explain everything in more details- I blame my sister (LOL). I am trying hard to continue to share things with everyone even though it is very difficult. There are just far too many things happening this week…
