My kids have been so happy since I was chosen to participate in the YourSphere ambassador program. They love listening to the music that other kids upload. They love playing games and they love knowing that, as long as they keep logging in and participating, they’re going to earn lots of great rewards.
Another thing my kids have been enjoying are the giveaways (I’m telling you- it’s everything I do in a day)…they haven’t won anything yet, but they keep trying.
About six years ago (before I got into the whole computer thing) I was entering contests on the radio and winning daily. When I was introduced to the internet I started entering online. Our computer went through a lot of crap because I really didn’t know anything about security and what was legit or not. I’d answer emails that said I won some outrageous prize and then my computer would crash. We’d fix it and it’d happen all over again. That is; until I finally learned about internet safety, security and the likes (even as an adult- we need it).
The point is; my girls are doing and learning what has taken me six years to learn; all in a secured site just for kids. They’re blogging, posting up stories and entering giveaways. The difference is- they are learning about internet privacy, what not to share and how to do things on the internet while being safe. They’ve learned a lot I can tell you that much.
