The Secret Life of the American Teenager DVD Volume 4 on DVD

The Secret Life of the American Teenager is not recommended for anyone under the age of 14 years of age (just had to mention that). I wasn’t aware of this in the beginning, being that it came from Disney Home Entertainment, but I’m happy I caught that quick. My girls wanted to watch it and I told them yes…well, that is until I heard the first few lines and then it changed to a quick ‘NO- not for you kiddos!’

As for my 17 year old, not a problem. I think he can relate to the story line a lot more. Not that he’s living the same situations as in the characters in the show, but he has friends, they deal with drama and I’m telling you. A teenagers life is just like a soap opera to me. There’s a lot of back stabbing and trust issues to work through. There’s a lot of chaos within friends and the jealousies and betrayals can be a lot for a teen.

My son was pretty hooked on the show after he watched the first episode. We had never taken the time to watch it before we received this DVD for review and I’m glad I did. It’s totally a Teenager’s Soap Opera- for sure!!!!

My thoughts:

It’s a really good series if your into drama and a teen’s life. I enjoyed watching it with my son and he says it’s worth watching again. His friend even told me that he and his mom watch it all the time…these are teen boys telling me so- it’s gotta be good, right?

Have you seen an episode of The Secret Life “” before? What did you think? Do you find it interesting, annoying or enjoyable to watch?
