Arm & Hammer Product Review and Giveaway-4 Winners
| July 4, 2010 | Posted by barb under Reviews |
I’ve never been one to go out and spend money on whiting products for my teeth because they always seemed to put me in pain. I’m talking ‘drop to the floor, on my knees, crying w/tears’ kinda pain. The ingredients typically caused a sharp stinging to my teeth through my gums (kind of like a brain freeze; only on my teeth and lasting much longer), so, I stopped buying them. I just couldn’t see going through that, every day, just to make my teeth a little whiter. I mean, c’mon…seriously? Who does that?
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve probably worn all the enamel right off my teeth because I brush them so much and though they may not look like sparkling gems- they’re very clean. And I’d also like to add that making sure they stay clean (and healthy) is very important to me.
In saying this; I have been using Arm & Hammer’s new whitening Booster Plus with enamel strengthening for the last three weeks, avidly, and I’m starting to notice a slight change in the appearance of my teeth’s whiteness. It’s not drastic, but I can tell. In the last week I’ve also began noticing that my teeth aren’t nearly as sensitive to the peroxide as they used to be. A big plus in my book.
I’ve heard many times before that brushing too little causes cavities and that brushing too much causes you to wear away the enamel. I deal with the latter. I probably brush my teeth about seven to ten times (at best) each day. I do this because I’m a smoker (a hypocritical one) and a serious coffee/tea drinker. I don’t like having the breath of either one of them, so, I brush…and brush and brush. I have brushed so much so that I have worn away every bit of strength and enamel left on my teeth. For this reason, I was a little scared about trying the new Arm & Hammer whitening booster plus. But let me tell you- fear gone!
The new whitening booster plus, by Arm & Hammer, is amazing. Seriously, this stuff didn’t hurt my teeth and I was able to use it with my regular tooth paste. I didn’t have to do anything different in terms of ‘brushing’. I simply put a little strip of the whiting booster on my brush before adding my regular toothpaste and that was it. Whitening teeth has never been easier and more rewarding. There really is such a thing as ‘gaining’ without the pain.
NEW ARM & HAMMER® Whitening Booster Plus Enamel Strengthening is specially formulated with peroxide and patented Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP) technology to boost whitening and enamel strengthening efficacy. When used with regular fluoride toothpastes, ARM & HAMMER® Whitening Booster Plus Enamel Strengthening quickly releases active peroxide to effectively remove stains, whiten teeth, and deposit ACP which helps to strengthen tooth enamel.

I have the same tooth sensitivity that you do, so I don’t normally buy tooth whiteners. I used to rinse with a mixture of peroxide and water after brushing though. I don’t recommend it because it tastes pretty damn disgusting.

Not too outrageous, but I drink hot tea through a straw so as to not stain my teeth.
