More PBS Kids and Nickelodeon DVD Releases

My girls are all about watching TV. I don’t even have to oversee what’s being put on the tube because; well…aside from being in the same room with them at all times, they usually only jump between five channels.
In order of priority (to them); on TV first is always PBS Kids so that they can see all the usual morning shows they love so much. Then at noon they switch between The Animal Planet & TLC. They have to watch Cake Boss and a Baby Story (they have a serious addiction to these shows). Now, when those shows are over; then…and only then will they flip between Disney and Nickelodeon. Usually, these are the channels that stay on until bedtime. If they’ve already seen the episode, the girls will go play out back or in their room until their next show is due to air.
Now just because they have shows that are watched religiously- this doesn’t mean that they don’t enjoy playing DVDs from time to time. In fact, they hardly ever turn down an opportunity to watch a DVD…because they say that no commercials is a plus in their books. They also tell me that they like how they can watch and re-watch the shows they like most as many times as they want, whenever they want.
Moving on…
Below- I have a list of DVDs there were recently (re)viewed by the girls and I. Each of them was enjoyed and has been given a thumbs up by both girls. Patience and Piper have even put one of them aside for their cousins’ because they feel they would enjoy it so much!

Our Thoughts on Super WHY!:
My girls are obsessed with Super Why! They always laugh and scream along when the shows play. They love the story lines and how Super Why and his gang always save the day. I love it because, aside from keeping the girls entertained, it keeps their mind working. They learn so much each and every time they watch a Super Why episode.

Our Thoughts on Caillou:
The girls are getting to that age where they believe Caillou is a little “young” for them, but I can still catch them watching (and enjoying) the episodes; when they don’t know I’m watching. There was a time (a couple of months ago) where they loved sitting and watching this show and even talk about the episodes as if they were with Caillou when it happened.

Our Thoughts On Martha:
Martha is such an adorable dog and she teaches kids so much. For one thing- she introduces kids to knew words, within each show, and helps them understand the meanings of those words. Our Thoughts on Dora:
Dora is an amazing girl. She not only teaching kids to speak Spanish, she does it in a way that’s fun for kids to learn- through adventures, and speaking to others. I love that my girls have learned many Spanish words (along with what they mean) by simply watching Dora.
Even though my girls have grown a little over the years; their love for Dora grows with them.
So there you have it. Another great collection of DVDs that are sure to keep the kids entertained. Each of them can be purchased online at Amazon or by visiting any of your local chain store locations.
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of each title, free, from Click Communications; for the purpose of my candid review. I was not given any monetary compensation nor does receiving product influence my thoughts and/or opinions. Thank you.

We love Super Why too. Just the other day my daughter said, “Oh my peas!” and cracked me up!
