My Thoughts On Culturelle + T-Shirt Giveaway

My kids and I have been using Culturelle for close to a month now and I’d like to share some of my thoughts on their progress. I also have one more ‘I heart Bacteria’ T-Shirts to give away to one lucky Blogfully reader. By the way- Congrats to Renee. Our last T-shirt giveaway winner!!! You should be receiving it soon.

Okay, so here’s the scoop. The results vary between both girls, but so far they seem to be progressively doing better. I like that it has worked very well, and almost instantly, with Piper (the youngest). She is going to the bathroom on a more regular basis and has literally seized to complain of stomach pains. She’s even eating more as a result.

Patience, on the other hand, is taking a little longer to show signs that it’s working for her. She still has issues where she’s complaining that her tummy hurts, but it is slowly and steadily decreasing. I think Patience goes through those stomach pains because of other underline reasons. Consulting our family doctor is what we do often. They can’t seem to figure it out but say it could be stress, anxieties or something in that realm of issues. We’re working on that with her. She does seem to carry symptoms of the Middle Child Syndrome with her- always.

I think that with continued use; the girls will be complaint free in no time. I can already see a difference in how they eat, drink and even act. Because they don’t feel as ‘backed up’ anymore; they are eating more frequently, complaining much less and going more regularly. It’s amazing what one simple does of Culturelle can do to a child over time. It’s almost funny because I’ll ask one where the other is and the answer- the bathroom. I haven’t even gone in to comfort them while they’re going because going seems to be a lot less of a struggle (if you know what I mean). :)

I’d like to take a moment to share some product information with you; as well as this cute video for the kids. Once this is done, I hope you’ll be interested in entering the Culturelle T-shirt Giveaway. I promise, it’s a cute shirt! I wish I had one. I think I’d wear the heck out of it!

Now that was cute wasn’t it? I’ve actually received a comment like that from Piper :)

Imagine having kids that feel better; with less tummy aches and more energy because they’re ‘going’ more regularly. It can happen. I see it in my youngest and am slowly starting to see it in the other. It’s great to see it happening.

Overall thoughts:

PROS: I’m sure the question is, will I continue to use Culturelle (both my girls and I) when this review is over? Yes- most definitely. I already see the difference it has made in my girls. Maybe not at the same time and in the same measures but I see that it’s working. I have dealt with a lot of heartburn, stomach aches and other digestive problems in the past and it’s tough on me. I can just imagine how it must feel for a little guy/gal to have to deal with it. Their pain tolerance isn’t nearly as strong as mine. I’m talking- giving birth to three babies, without meds and all laboring under an hour- type of tolerance…yeah, I’m good with pain.

CONS: Well, as much as I hate saying…I have noticed that if you stop using it for a little while (one week for me), the stomach pains and other digestive problems that were dealt with before come back. I forgot to take mine on a trip to my family’s. By the end of the week, every bout of pain I felt before I began using Culturelle was back- full fledge. When I came home, I quickly began using it again (because I was really tired of using antacids) and the pain slowly started going away. Now, I try to make sure and take that pill once a day.

Just a thought: If you’re going to begin a regime of taking daily vitamins/probiotics, etc.; try your hardest to continue with it. It’s not an addictive product. But it is one that can make a difference in how you feel (if you miss a week or more at a time).

All and All- I really enjoy taking them and have felt the benefits from use time and time again.

  1. I’m not entering, since I won the last shirt giveaway; I just wanted to comment.
Barb, when your girls are teenagers, they are going to KILL you for writing a post about them going to the bathroom! This is worse than naked baby pictures :) I’m just kidding. I know that kids and “tummy issues” are really no laughing matter. I hope they get their issues resolved soon.

  2. @renee: Yeah, I thought about that too (them KILLING me) LOL, but I did it anyways. :)

    They’ll forgive me…hopefully.

Have a great one Renee. Let me know what you think of the T-shirt when you get it…
