My Thoughts on New England Style Coffee

My husband is not a coffee drinker; never has been. He has always, however, enjoyed the aromas that linger through the house. He just refuses to take part in drinking it. This is a little disappointing at times because I’d love to share my coffee drinking moments with him but I’m okay with it (for the most part). It just means more for me.

When New England coffee offered to send a few bags over for me to try; I had no idea they were sending me as many as they did. Six bags were more than I was expecting. Let’s just say I was hysterical at the site of each. I’m talking coffee drinker’s heaven baby! ;)

Remember how I told you that I was visiting my mother and house sitting for my sister earlier this month. Well, this coffee couldn’t have come at a better time. The package arrived the Friday before I was due to leave. C came over for coffee on Saturday and Sunday morning and we loved it. On Monday, I enjoyed a few cups on my own…and then it was off to San Antonio.

Along with everything else that was packed; I made sure to include a few bags of coffee too. A favorite past time for my mother, sister and I (oh, and my brother-in-law) is to sit around the dining room table while the kids are nestled in bed and enjoy a few hours simply sipping on freshly brewed coffee with an occasional pastry. It’s something we’ve always enjoyed doing. I feel like we bond so much during these moments.

Anyways. So I guess you’re wondering about the coffee, right? The flavors, smells and tastes of them all. I guess I can do that. :)

New England Style Coffee As I stated earlier, there were six blends of coffee in total. Each of them filled with the flavors only one would wish to encounter in the mornings. I’m talking Blueberry Cobbler, Hazelnut crème, Breakfast Blend (both caffeinated and decaffeinated), French Vanilla and San Francisco Blend- can we say YUM!!!

The flavor blends I received don’t even tip the scale on the amount of varieties they have to offer online. I went through the site (www.newenglandcoffee.com) the other day just to get an idea on what to order for myself (since everything I received is now gone-yes, we drink a lot of coffee when my family’s together). I was simply amazed. I can’t even begin to list everything in this post. What I can say is; if you haven’t tried their coffee yet, you should. I’m actually hoping I’ll have an opportunity to review more of their great tasting coffees in the future because one could go broke shopping the way I plan on doing.

Here’s a little teaser for you…

Some of the brands I really, really want to try next are as follows:

  • Hawaiian Macadamia Nut – Rich, flavorful coffee blended with the tropical flavor of Macadamia nuts that will transport you to a coffee lovers paradise
  • Eggnog – Rich and creamy, that’s all you need! A perfect choice for a cold day!
  • Cinnamon Sticky Bun – With a spicy cinnamon and sweet creamy vanilla icing flavor.
  • Costa Rican – This mountain-grown, fine-bodied varietal is roasted to a city roast color for a deep, complex flavor with just a hint of smokiness
  • Colombian Supremo – Colombia’s top-grade coffee. The intense flavor and rich aroma makes it the world’s best-selling varietal.

Again, this still does not tip the scale. There are so many varieties, flavors and strengths to choose from. You can even combine them to make your very own personal blend. I did. The only reason I chose to blend was because I had two decaffeinated bags and instead of drinking it that way, I decided to blend them with a caffeinated bag and it was perfect. I needed to do this, that way I could still have a dose of caffeine (LOL).

Today they occupy five buildings and have hugely expanded their manufacturing and packaging capabilities. While they’ve grown to become New England’s largest independent coffee roaster, their philosophy and goals are still the same – to buy and sell premium coffee and provide the best service possible- New England Coffee About Us Page

My Thoughts:

Overall; I love the coffee. Just writing about it makes me want to brew a fresh pot. What pains me is that I have no more- argh!!! I know that not everyone likes the ‘flavored’ blends and that’s okay because they have so many varieties to choose from, I just know you’ll be able to find what you want and need. They have something for everyone. For my family and I; the more flavor, the better. We love hazel nut and vanilla caramel creamers with every cup.

The final question; Do I recommend this coffee? Yes, absolutely. I think that it’s a great blend. I almost forgot one detail…you can have this coffee iced. On a few select bags it will give you directions on how to make the perfect cup. I tried it and it was delicious.

Disclosure: I was gifted with product in order to help facilitate my review. Products came from New England Coffee. In no way did receiving these product influence my thoughts and opinions. They merely helped me develop a candid review. Thank you.
