OMG- I have been so busy lately. I am currently house sitting for my sister while she’s away. I do apologize; for not being as active as I used to be before the kids started their summer vacation. We normally don’t travel, or haven’t in years, but this summer seems to be a very busy one for us.
The girls and I got here on the 5th (to San Antonio) and have been enjoying family time with all my nieces, nephews, my younger sister and my mother (oh, and my brother-in-law). Today was a big day though. My sister and the family had to leave for Dallas. Let me back up for a second. My mother lives in the next sub division so visiting both houses are a norm. Being that the girls and I stayed at my mothers, we had to set the alarm to get to my sisters house early. We got here at 10:30 and worked together in order to get my sister, her husband and their kids ready for their trip. Though we started getting them ready this morning, they left town at about 2:pm. The original plans were that they would be taking all of their kids. Plans changed real quick because they were running out of room. They couldn’t possibly pack everything they needed and take the kids too, so the boys stayed with us. It was a ‘girly’ trip anyways…pageant stuff and we figured the boys wouldn’t like or care for it anyways.
So here we are. My mother is playing her favorite Wii game in the world- animal crossing- and I’m writing. The girls are upstairs playing on another Wii and I believe they’re playing Build a Bear. The boys are playing on their DS and life is good.
Everyone is pretty much vegging out on some sort of electronic and basking in silence…LOL! I’m telling you, it’s chaotic when you have 7 kids and 4 adults in one house; no matter how big a house it is!
But anyways…now that the house is somewhat less chaotic as before, I will be trying hard to catch up on some much computer work in the days to come.
So how are you all doing? Have you been enjoying the summer heat? I’ve actually been keeping an eye out on the weather back home. There seems to be a tropical storm in the midst; heading somewhere between Corpus and Houston. Since Hub and CJ are back home, I want to make sure they’ll be okay. I hate hurricane season!
Okay, so off to running ragged with the kids- below are some pictures of the kids having fun- enjoy and we’ll chat soon!!!
HAVE A GREAT SUMMER EVERYONE!!!!
