If you’re already a fan of Banquet frozen pot pie varieties, you might be interested to learn about the new Banquet Fruit Pies too.
I was given an opportunity to try a few fruit pies with the kids (as part of my participation in Mom Central’s Banquet Blog tour) and I’ll have to admit- they were pretty good. Quite honestly; I was more surprised with the reaction I got from the girls. They’ve never been a huge fan of the pie family but are very familiar with the traditional pot pies from Banquet because I buy them often.
It’s funny…I decided to video tape Patience’s reaction as she tried the new fruit pies and I think it’s fair to say- she enjoyed it very much. Check this out…
Please note that Patience is a very expressive person (much like her mommy) LOL.
Overall thoughts:
The pies were pretty good. There were two flavors available at our store: apple and cherry berry.Patience loved the apple pie and said it tasted really great and when asked if she’d eat it again she said yes, but only if I helped her eat it…
I tried the berry pot pie as well and wasn’t really fond of it. I think there’s a bit of an after bite that didn’t settle too well in my tummy. When I tried Patience’s apple pie afterward, I noticed a big difference between tastes and I was impressed. I actually loved that the cinnamon-apple filling was rich and tasty.
Needless to say; we’ll definitely be buying more of the apple pot pies. That flavor seemed to be the favorite in our home. The berries; not so much.
About Banquet Fruit Pies: Banquet Pot Pies are available in apple, peach or cherry berry flavors. They are single serving microwaveable pies and can be purchased at your local grocery chain (in the frozen fruit and pastry section).
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Banquet and received free coupons to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central also sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate

Haha! I love the look on Patience’s face; that must have been the yummy apple pie she was tasting!
