When it comes to reviewing DVDs, my girls are always happy to assist. They love the variety of movies that come through the door. They like the surprises that lurk in every envelope and they especially like knowing that their thoughts count.
The latest DVDs to hit our TV screen are cute, fun and full of laughs! The girls enjoyed them and thought you’d be happy to hear about them too.
First up we have:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever
![]()
Street Date: August 24, 2010
SRP: $16.99
DVD Runtime: 73 minutes
Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment are excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by releasing, for the first time on DVD, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever.
TMNT kick butt in this truly turtle powered tale. The turtles from one dimension meet the turtles from another dimension when a teleporting mishap occurs. What the shell is going on? Together, the turtles must locate the Technodrom to fix this mess! Meanwhile, Shredder tracks down his counterpart, Ch’rell, who devises a master plan to travel back to the Prime Universe to get rid of the turtles once and for all! As worlds collide, the turtles come face to face with classic characters like Casey and April, and a slew of enemies including Krang, Hun, the Foot Soldiers, the Purple Dragons, Bebop and Rocksteady!.

Our thoughts:
Oh, we had a blast watching this one. It’s not all the time that the girls will sit and watch (what they call) a “boy” show. They loved Splinter and thought he was too cute. Now granted, that’s not what you’d normally hear from a TMNT fan, but for my two girls- it’s all about the cuteness…even in the midst of battle!
For all those TMNT fans- this is definitely a DVD to add to your collection. It’s jam packed with everything we love about TMNT!
Next we have:
Madeline’s Halloween & Other Spooky Tales

Our Thoughts:
As always- Madeline is a big hit in our home. They love Madeline because she’s adorable, helpful and has the cutest accent in the world. They love all the adventures she goes on and how the group of girls stick together through everything!
They have quite a few Madeline DVDs…but they found this one to be extra special. They love Halloween and everything that comes with it. It was a treat for them to watch and they said they will be watching it again on Halloween (to get the fun started!).

Our Thoughts:
The girls and I loved this collection of shows, but Piper was a little disappointed because The Wonder Pets! shows didn’t feature anything different than normal. She made it very clear that I mention that these were usual shows and weren’t really “Halloween” stories. The rest of them were really good and fun to watch.~Piper
So there you have it; another collection of Nickelodeon and Shout! Factory films for the kids. They’re definitely worthy of buying and adding to your child’s video collection!!!
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of each DVD above, from Shout! Factory and Nickelodeon- through PR groups, for the purpose of my candid review. I was not given any monetary compensation nor did receiving product influence my thoughts/opinions in any way. Thank you.
