Got an Email this morning

I love the wonderful world of online communications.

I was checking my email this morning and came across one with the subject line, “related”. I was pleasantly surprised to read that one of my second cousins found me through a YouTube video I had commented on a while back. You see, My uncle, Homar Hernandez, was a composer for Tejano music. I get in this mood every once in a while where I just need to hear his music and draw up a few tears while I reminisce his presence.

Anyways; I saw a video for one of the many songs he wrote on YouTube and left a comment about him (to him). I’m so happy that I left that comment back then because this is where she found me! I mean…who would have ever thought I’d be found by one of my cousins through a comment…on the internet no less. I’ve been chatting with her all morning long and am planning to make a trip to see her at the end of October and I can’t wait!!!

To top it off (I’m telling you- today is a good day for both my husband and I); my husband got online to check his facebook a few moments ago and found that one of his cousins is coming into town today and wanted his phone number so that he can stop by. 

Who could ask for a better way to start the weekend?

So, with this said. I am going to run through the house and clean up as fast as I can. Remember…I just got back from a trip to San Antonio to help my sister and my mother. Every time we come home the girls are loaded with new clothes. With this comes reorganizing and cleaning. Instead of taking my time getting everything back in order (which I planned on doing); looks like I will be running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off trying to make the house look nice before he arrives!
