Nutri-Kids Gives New Life + a Giveaway for Sharing
| August 15, 2010 | Posted by barb under Family |
I thank God every day; for the beautiful, healthy, rambunctious, stern, opinionated children I have. I love that they have a voice to speak (even though I’d like them to be quiet sometimes). I love that they have legs to walk (even though I wish they’d sit still for an hour or two). I love that they can see (even though I wish they’d close their eyes and sleep every once in a while)…and I love that they can smell (nothing bad there). In a nutshell; I love everything there is about them, but most importantly and with all joking aside, I love that they were born healthy, strong and able to walk, talk, smell and taste the world around them.
Sadly; some parents are not so fortunate and have children with learning disabilities, hearing & vision deficits and/or other such ailments that prevent them from doing normal child activities. This causes both parents and their child’s life to be much more complicated. Every day is a struggle for them. In places like Guatemala (in particular); children, due to their disabilities, are ridiculed by others. They are refused public education because of their situation and are often forced to remain confined to their homes because the public schools do not support their needs…yet they find strength to carry on and live life to the fullest.
Judy Kerschner (a volunteer and missionary) founded the school of Nueva Vida (New Life), a school for children with special needs, in the village of Santa Maria de Jesus in Guatemala in 2000. Dr. Steven Hotze, founder of Physician’s Preference, has been a supporter of the New Life Ministry since 1997 and through his work as a physician; has had the honor of meeting Judy and recently launched the Nutri-Kids Gives New Life initiative where 20% of all sales on Nutri-Kids multivitamins are donated to New Life.
Nutri-Kids multivitamins are fruity and chewable vitamin supplements for children age four and up. It is one of the most complete children’s chewable combination multivitamin and mineral formulas on the market. Keeping in mind the sensitive needs of children, Nutri-Kids contains only the purest, most hypoallergenic ingredients and contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. With Physician’s Preference’s Nutri-Kids vitamins, not only will you be helping improve your own child’s life, but also the life of a child in Santa Maria de Jesus in need. I think it is wonderful that the folks at Physician’s Preference are so generously supporting New Life Ministry through sales of a product (vitamins) that most kids probably need anyway. I also think it’s great that their vitamins are hypoallergenic, contain no artificial flavors, etc.
