Patience is 8 years old and is starting third grade in less than four weeks. She has always been an eager-beaver when it comes to learning something new. She’s the sponge in our family; happily soaking up anything we’re willing to take time and teach her. She’s the type of girl that gets very excited about visiting a book store or spending a few hours at the library. She loves to write, enjoys reading and gets a kick out of all those challenging word find games. She also keeps a writing journal with her at all times; just in case she gets flooded with inspiration.

Piper on the other hand is 7…need I say more?

Just kidding. No…Piper is really great. She’s very smart and enjoys being told that she is…but, she tends to struggle a little more than her sister. We know she can learn but dad and I have a hard time figuring out just what works for her.

For this reason, I was very excited about trying the new Rock N Learn Phonics DVD program. I had a feeling it would be perfect for her, especially, because she is one music loving child. Piper loves listening to music and most times, she’s the first one to remember all the lyrics. She’s really a smart girl, she just needs a little extra encouragement and a lot of music to keep her going!

I was very pleased with the reaction I got from the girls. I was even more impressed with how they tuned in, sang along and followed closely to the lessons being taught. They really loved the DVDs and high fived me on the gift.
