The Robby Wash Ball

Robby Wash Ball Apparently my laundry soap addiction causes a lot of friction between the hub and I. He says I use far too much soap and I say he’s crazy. The arguing back and forth, about this, has gotten a little ridiculous over the years. So…the good wife that I am decided to put an end to this discussion and lean towards what he deems appropriate laundry use. Yeah, call me the good one!

Upon request (a few weeks ago); I received a Robby Wash laundry ball. After using it a few times; I’ll have to admit, it’s been pretty neat. I’m not even upset that he’s won this battle…but, he doesn’t know it yet.

The neat thing about the timing on receiving this laundry ball was that I had run out of soap the night before. I wanted to keep this review a secret from him for as long as I could, just in case I didn’t like it and had to let him know I was out of soap. So far, so good.

About Robby Wash:

The Robby Wash laundry ball comes preassembled and ready to use. It includes an additional bag of micro-molecule pellets and a stain stick; enough to keep you washing for at least 12 months. The cost for this kit is $32.95 (and qualifies for free shipping). The washing ball comes in blue and fuchsia. I received the blue ball which is for cold and hot water use. The Fuchsia is for cold water washes only.

My thoughts:

I like the Robby Wash ball…I really do. It has definitely made things a lot less chaotic in terms of arguments and such, but I still kind of miss the scent of my clothes when I was using laundry soap and softeners. I still use my bleach and dryer sheets, so I’m not entirely at a loss, but getting used to a new scent (or lack of) is taking a little time.

The good thing is, our laundry bill has gone down substantially because the only laundry aids I’m purchasing are bleach (which is also used to clean my house) and dryer sheets.

I also need to mention that the Robby Wash ball literally strips your clothes of any prior smells without fading colors or removing the clothes’ softness.

I’m a smoker (the reason for my excessive soap use) and I use perfume most days. Now, most of you can agree that even with a ton of soap, some smells (like smoke, perfumes and BO) never really fade from your clothes…even if you’ve washed them a thousand times. I know because I try to get rid my clothes of smells like these all the time. It’s like fighting a loosing battle…until now. Even the sour smells from towels left wet for too long start loosing that smell. I’ve had to wash these particular items a few times, but they’re finally starting to loose that funk!

In The End: I think I’m going to continue using the Robby Wash Ball. It’s actually saving us a lot of money (so far) and I’m slowly getting used to another type of “clean” smell. For $32.95, it’s a steal in itself.

Disclosure: I was sent a Robby Wash Ball kit, free (from RPR PR), for the purpose of my candid review. The thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine. Results may vary. Please visit this page for more details. Thank you.
