Ugh, reading about your accident sent shivers down my spine! I can’t stand even thinking about an eye injury. I wear glasses at night only because even with the featherweight lenses mine are thick and heavy and I hate them! I wear contacts during the day, but I must admit there are some cool styles of glasses available for people who are less blind than me!

Yeah, I remember that day as if it was yesterday- OUCH! It hurt a lot…my mother, poor thing, had no clue I was that blind (LOL).
I have to wear pretty thick glasses as well. My son has put mine on (and showed his friend) to prove just how blind he says I am. I’m glad they don’t have to wear them. They’ve got their “perfect vision” from their daddy!!!
@barb: Lucky kids! My daughter is doomed–I can’t think of ONE person on EITHER SIDE of her immediate family that does not wear contacts or glasses. Seriously, it’s just a matter of time before we’re shopping for her glasses, I’m sure!
