Steps 4 Kids Review and Giveaway

Both Patience and Piper are in love with their new learning DVDs. They have played them more times than I can mention and it has yet to get old.

I received 2 DVDs; Steps4Kids to Write their ABCs (designed to help teach children aged 4-7) and Steps4Kids to write cursive.Steps4Kids

The DVDs have been a God send for us. The girls have been more confident about the way they write their letters and I’m very impressed with how their handwriting skills has improved over the course of the last few weeks.

Patience had begun writing in cursive more and more lately and, because of her confidence in what she’s learned, enjoys it ten fold. The results have been amazing. Her cursive writing and penmanship is even more beautiful than before. Her teachers have taken notice too and say that she has gone above and beyond what they’d expect from a 3rd grade student just learning her cursive writing.

Before we received the DVDs, Piper was our biggest concern. We were beginning to think she might be dyslexic. Every other letter/word she wrote was backwards and, on occasion, upside down. Now, hub and I have been reassured that it’s just a phase kids go through while learning letters, which is good to hear, but it was still worrying us because of what she was doing.

Piper is really getting the hang of writing her letters now and the backward problems are becoming more obsolete. She’s done so well at following directions and is eager to listen and learn from her DVD. It’s amazing to see how much her confidence has boosted over the last few weeks. I can see her excitement and enthusiasm for this and it makes us so happy. We continue to give her the positive reinforcement she needs to continue with the DVD and as a result, her motivation is stronger than ever. She’s doing fabulous and her teacher has noticed a tremendous improvement in her penmanship too.

What I love about Step4Kids writing DVDs is that they are so detailed. Before teaching kids how to write their letters, each DVD explains how to properly hold pencils (for right and left handed children). It also explains the importance of good writing habits; in a way kids understand, through demonstration. Once the lessons begin, the fun continues to grow. My girls are so happy with their DVDs and find them to be very interesting and fun to watch.

If you have kids aged 4-7, learning to write their ABCs or children in the early stage of learning to write in cursive; I recommend these videos. Kids can learn so much from these lessons and, because they’re fun to watch, will absorb what they’ve been taught.
