Patience; as I’ve said a thousand times before, loves everything to do with nature, animals and the world around us. She is 100% fanatical about this stuff and craves it.
When I was given an opportunity to view the latest Disney Nature series; The Crimson Wing (mystery of the flamingos) and Oceans- Patience about flipped. Now mind you…most times, I’ll receive notice about two weeks prior to receiving product. My ‘oops’ was letting her know I was getting this for review before it ever made it to our house. Patience came home every single day asking if the DVDs had come in yet. I could see the disappointment each time I told her no. When they did finally arrive, there was no holding back. She ripped those DVDs out of my hands so fast, it was almost scary. She didn’t know it but, when I turned to walk away, I couldn’t help but smile. I love that she is so hungry for this stuff.
If you have a child, friend, or loved one that loves nature as much as Patience does. I think that, together, they’d make an amazing Christmas Gift. They are both amazing films that capture, in depth, the life beneath our ocean’s surface and the flamingos (like we’ve never seen them). Patience and I can’t express the amount of joy we got from viewing the featured films and just know you’re going to love them too.

Our thoughts:
We couldn’t agree more with the synopsis. This film is amazing. The girls and I laughed, awed, and laughed again. Our favorite part was watching the whales and dolphins, but there are so many neat and interesting things to explore under the water. It was beautiful to see, fun to watch and of course, listening to Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas sing “Make a Wave” was a great way to end the feature. We totally recommend this film. It’s definitely worth every penny!

Our Thoughts:
Can we say ‘awe’ a couple thousand times? There were a few times I caught myself asking Patience what was wrong because she was so silent, still and totally zoned into the show. There were a few moments when I even saw her wiping her eyes.
This show was nothing short of amazing! It captured every moment of a flamingo’s life. It was intense and sometimes sad. It was captivating! It was emotionally grasping.I beside myself with this one. Disney did a superb job with the creation of this film. The music was beautiful at capturing the moment too. I give them props for doing so well with every inch of this feature!
I can’t pin point a favorite part exactly because ever minute of this film was incredible. The narrating was kept at a minimum (which Patience really enjoyed) and filled your screen with the most beautiful pictures. It’s one that you have to see.
