Music For Kids-Review And Giveaway

I enjoy listening to music with the girls. I especially love watching the girls listen to music because they keep me laughing. They’re kooky. They love music and love to dance and definitely love to entertain me. It’s when they’re happiest.

I recently received a DVD for Monkey Monkey Music; the videos with Meredith LeVande and a CD, Didi Pop goes to Hawaii with Deborah Poppink. The girls loved the music and told me that ‘you guys (and gals)’ were going to love it too. This music (from both artists) is fun, bouncy and easy to sing-along & dance to. We highly recommend it to parents, and young kids and think they’d make perfect stocking stuffers this Christmas.

About Meredith LeVande:

Meredith is a children’s performer with a deep commitment to putting “the child” back into children’s music. Her music is pure fun. Just as on her children’s albums, Monkey Monkey Music with Meredith LeVande and What are the Odds?, audiences can detect a playful and heartfelt connection to children on her new NAPPA Honors Award—winning DVD, Monkey Monkey Music: The Videos with Meredith LeVande.

Meredith’s performing career actually began as a successful singer/songwriter on the college circuit, where her shows often featured introspective songs about childhood struggles and finding one’s true self. One day, during a performance before a crowd of families, she was inspired to improvise a presentation of traditional children’s songs. It was mutual love right from the start, with palpable connection between the performer and her audience. Meredith’s identity as a children’s musician was born that day—an identity that would evolve into the project now known as Monkey Monkey Music!

Final thoughts:

Amazing…simply amazing. The music is definitely catchy. The tunes will get you moving and will keep you humming the tunes well after the music has ended. There’s just something about Meredith’s voice that captures an audience of kids (and moms). There’s something about DidiPop’s Hawaiian songs that keeps you interested. The girls loved them both, equally, and I do too. I love upbeat music and music that makes you want to sing along. I like music that puts a smile on my face and makes my kids smile more. Both Deborah and Meredith will do this to you. Their music is unique, fun, funky, and catchy! I like the sounds and have a feeling you will too.
