VeggieTales:’Twas the Night Before Easter

Oh how we loved watching ‘Twas the Night Before Easter.

Patience and Piper have been obsessed with, and have cherished, their beloved VeggieTales forever, however…they said that this DVD was one of the best they’d ever watched. And I’d have to agree.

I, just like the girls, have always been in love with VeggieTales. I love the messages they promote to our kids, and I especially love the use of our favorite veggies in order to tell their stories. There’s always a laughter induced line or two—in every story. And the songs; boy do they have the most amusing songs ever. Every time I watch a VeggieTales feature I know I’m gonna walk away with at least one of their songs stuck in my head. It’s a good thing though. I don’t mind it one bit!

So, about ‘Twas the Night Before Easter…

We watched An Easter Carol last year and loved it. It was a beautiful story (much like A Christmas Carol) about the true meaning of Easter and it’s past, present and future.

This year…Big Idea brings you ‘Twas the Night Before Easter; a story that examines just how important it is to help others’, while exploring the real meaning of Easter.

‘Twas the Night Before Easter has all the greatness that you can expect from Big Idea, but with much more laughs than ever before!!!

It’s Easter time in Crisper County and cable news reporter Marlee Meade is hunting for a way to help others. She cooks up a plan to save the old theater with a cast of costume-clad townies, massive props and a 20-foot robot rabbit to perform “Up with Bunnies.” Now there’s only one thing missing—the star of the show! When word spreads that singing sensation Cassie Cassava (Melinda Doolittle) is arriving to perform in her hometown church’s Easter service, Marlee schemes to steal the starlet for her own pageant! But when things go haywire, will it be curtains for Marlee’s dream—or will she discover the true meaning of Easter and what helping others is really all about?

Final thoughts:
