Mom’s Secret Weapon @ Santa’s Hideout

Wouldn’t it be wonderful, to have a one-stop, parent-controlled, magical, safe-place hub, where kids can create their very own Christmas wish lists…and parents can share those lists with family and friends?

Santas HideoutWell count your blessings because there is such a place. It’s Santa’s Hideout and it’s the one stop Christmas registry site you’ve been looking for!

I was given the opportunity to take a peak at Santa’s Hideout a few nights ago. I fell in love with the whole set-up, design and purpose almost instantly. The site is very “user friendly” and has a

Here’s how it works:

Parents register in 2 easy steps where you create your lists and give Santa some ground rules

You can help Santa’s good boy or girl add items to their list; once their items are added you’re good to go!

Share individual items or an entire list with family and friends through email, facebook, twitter, Google+ or Tumblr.

An email will alert you when there are updates made to a list by a child, friend or relative

Make purchases easily online or track your gifting through your account

On the go? No problem! Santa’s Hideout Lists are optimized for mobile, so take it to the stores

The best part…Mom’s in control.

As a parent, we’re given the final say; free to make changes to lists, add or delete items and avoid duplicates, and so much more!

Did I mention it’s FREE?

My Thoughts:

I went online, started a list and sent it to myself (I could send it to others already, but for the sake of this review, I sent it to me). I was able to click on CJ’s name and view his list…

A snipit of CJs Christmas list

As you can see…any friend or family member you invite can check out CJ’s wishes. If they choose to purchase one of the items on his list they simply click “reserve” or “mark as purchased” (if they’ve already bought it for that child). Pretty sweet right? Talk about taking the guess work out of shopping…

The whole idea of Santa’s Hideout is genius. I love the set up. How safe, easy and magical gifting will be this year (thanks to “Santa’s Hideout”). But above all…I love the time it’s going to save me when shopping. I’ve always hated guess work and this site has definitely rid me of that task.

About Santa’s Hideout:

Introducing Santa’s Hideout! Santa’s Hideout takes the guess work out of holiday shopping by creating a safe, one-stop, parent controlled, magical environment for the whole family. Parents create an account for as many children as he/she wants. They control the access, set limits on the budget and can decide what item can/can’t be shown. Parents then send messages as “Santa.” This letter from “Santa” can be anything from reminding them to take out the trash or telling them to do well on a test at school if they want to add another item to their Christmas list…but in the end, the parent is the final decision maker on all items children add. You can share registry items that exceed “Santa’s” budget, but also delete items that seem excessive or inappropriate. Parents can even set up group lists for gifts to be shared across multiple children.

Disclosure: I was given a gift for my participation in the sharing of this site. However, all thoughts and/or opinions expressed on this post are my own.
