Will I ever Find a Good Blog Editor?

For the second time in just 3 days I’ve lost another 700+ word post. And just like the last, this post was well written and ready to go live (argh!). I guess I should just walk away for the day (which I probably will in just a few) and pretend I didn’t even try to work on a Saturday (even though I’ve wasted most of my day).

I have now “reviewed” more than a handful of “blog editors” and here’s what I’ve gathered….

but first my disclaimer: I am in search of the perfect blog editor. I am not being paid to share my opinions on any of these programs. I’m downloading them, trying them and throwing them out the window on my own free will. If you have anything better than what I’ve tested; please, do share

IMG 0028The worst one, so far, would have to be Post2blog . This is the one I uploaded and could not–for the life of me–get anything to work. That’s all I can say for this one. It wasn’t even on my computer for more than 20 minutes (about as long as it took for me to finally say “to heck with it”

The one I’m almost in love with but still don’t think it qualifies as “the best” blog editor for me is BlogDesk . I love BlogDesk because it actually does just about everything I want it to do. It gives me plenty of formating, editing–even viewing–options, BUT it doesn’t allow me to add different headings within my post (like giving real emphasis on “WIN IT”, “The Fine Print,” etc.).

BlogJet was pretty great all the way around, but again, this one made my work a little more tediously. Once I posted anything to Blogfully I’d have to log in to do even more work…

Thingamablog…well, I couldn’t get far enough into this one to do anything with it. I’m still tempted to give this one a try one more time, but I’m just not sure yet. It does look like an editor I could really fall in love with though.

Zoundry was one of the ones I really hoped would work. It was awesome–at first–letting me write an entire post. It even looked great too. But when I went to push “post and publish” everything deleted.

Oh woe is me…what’s a blogger like me to do? Back to the drawing board I suppose.

Happy Saturday everyone!!!!

Disclosure: I tried each of these editors myself. I was not asked to nor was I paid to do so. I’m looking for a great editor and will continue to look for one until I do. All opinions (good & bad) are my own.
