The girls have been with their grandma for more than a week now, and last night was the first night John and I went out on a date. Our first stop…Dinner at Chili’s.
We started with the usual – 2 unsweet teas and an order of Southwest eggrolls. For dinner: John tried the new Philly Cheese-steak hoagie. I went with a bowl of Baked Potato Soup. Our dinner and conversations were wonderful.
After dinner we headed for the Corpus Christi Speedway…
And can you believe this little car took a Victory Lap?
And these races went on until 11PM.
After this, we headed home. And that was our special date together. What did you do this weekend?

Yes, we don’t have the free babysitter we used to have but I hear he’s making his way down here this summer…or have plans changed?
