I had a few of the girls friends, and their mothers, over this past weekend and they were truly impressed with my table presentation…even before I served my famous Chicken Salad Sandwiches.
I was told by one of the mothers that my dishes looked like they came from another – high priced & well known – store in town where she frequently shopped. When I showed my friend just how inexpensive the new summer dishes were (and where they came from) she practically flipped.

I think I’ll start venturing other areas of the store now.
I never knew Target sold such cute and colorful summer merchandise and dishes like the ones we received. I shop Target for lots of stuff, and I go there more times than I can count. I guess I just never paid attention to things like this. I was too busy hitting the cleaning, personal hygiene and clearance isles.
Oh, and the salad bowl (and spoons) with the bamboo lid is awesome! It doubles as a cutting board and sandwich maker…I love it!
Earlier this summer John and I took the kids (and one of their friends) to the Aquatic Center in Aransas Pass. I shared tons of pictures with you, but there were a few that were lacking personality, so I kept those to myself. Well, I just learned of Target’s Big Honkin’ Summer-izer and decided to use one of those pictures in hopes of sprucing it up and making it look more fun. Check this out…

Isn’t that cute? And that isn’t even the half of what you can do with your pictures. Just head to Target’s Facebook page and click on Big Honkin’ Summer Summer-izer application and start changing your drab photos to something fun like mine.
The Summer Pack I received included the following:
Serving Bowl with Bamboo Lid – $11.99
Bamboo Serving Utensils – $7.99
Strawberry Melamine Dinnerware Plates (4) – $1.99 each
Strawberry Melamine Salad Plates (4) – $1.79 each
Strawberry Hi Ball Tumblers (4) – $1.99
If you’re looking to spruce up your summer dishes – for those days you plan to entertain – make sure you take a peak at Target’s Summer line. I think you’ll be pleasantly impressed with what you’ll find (at more than reasonable prices).
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Target and received products to facilitate my review and to thank me for taking the time to participate

LOVE Target, especially when I find some clearance items!
Oh yeah, Target’s clearance items rock! The girls go crazy over that dollar section up front (when you first enter the store). I usually spend about $10 right there alone (LOL).
