More Nickelodeon DVD Releases from Dora and The Fresh Beat Band

by barb on July 30, 2012

Nickelodeon has kept busy this summer, releasing lots of great DVD favorites.

Patience and Piper were actually pretty thrilled about the latest Dora The Explorer DVD. They don’t really watch Dora any more – since they’re now 9 & 10 – but because it was about Dora’s Fantastic Gymnastics Adventure, and it’s their favorite part of the Olympics, they totally enjoyed the shows.

If you have little gymnasts in the house, and they’re still head-over-heals for Dora, this is the DVD to get.

Created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes and Eric Weiner, is a play-along, animated adventure series starring Dora – a seven-year-old Latina heroine whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rain forests. She explores her world just as preschoolers do every day, and the show is designed to actively engage its audience in an interactive quest using a variety of learning techniques.

This next DVD is pretty cute. The girls don’t watch it, but they sure love to watch Kyle when he’s watching it because they think he’s so adorable when he’s singing and shouting along with all the characters. That is the best isn’t it?

Final Thoughts:

We always enjoy Nickelodeon favorites like Dora, and The Fresh Beat Band. My girls may be getting “older” but there’s noting like watching some old favorites just for fun. They’re still fun and entertaining for us.
