Patience and Piper can be pretty amazing…sometimes crazy, and even mischievous, only they’re not the ones who’ve hit my last nerve. It’s Licorice and Tippy.

Don’t let those cute, adorable and kissable little faces fool you. They’re spoiled I tell you – spoiled rotten!
Licorice and Tippy have “had” free range of the house since we brought them home. We buy them treats, special foods and give them an abundant amount of hugs and kisses. Sadly, and apparently, that wasn’t enough for those two.

They just had to have a taste of our phone cords! And do you know what else?
Their innocent “hide-n-seek” play was really a scheme. It was a plot to feast on our TV cords and game system wires.

Yep. They’ve chewed it all. But they especially have a liking for the Wii sensor cord. We had to buy a new one last week and we’re still waiting on it to arrive.
They also love my USB cords (for the iPad)…

And countless other things. Did I mention wood? They’re starting to nip away at all our wood furnishings too.
I don’t know what I’m going to do about these two. We love them to death, but I told Patience and Piper that if I continue to find things they’ve chewed apart, I’ll have to give them to another family.
It breaks my heart, really it does, but I can’t keep replacing everything they chew on…you know?
What would you do (or have done) in a situation like this? Am I over reacting to their mischievous ways?

Sorry to hear about bunnies pranks.
Dad would give his rabbit chew sticks from pet store and quality hay, they will always chew because their teeth constantly grow. Dad had a screened porch where he would let bunny roam for exercise. We had bunnies previously so he knew they would chew wires, he never let bunny run in the house.
LOL…I’m learning now, that they love chewin’ them wires.
And you can’t discipline them like a dog or cat because they don’t get it. Argh!!!
Hope your weekend’s been fun. Are you ready for the week?
Oh no!!! Time for a nice indoor bunny hutch! I don’t think you are over reacting at all–their chewing is going to get expensive really fast, not to mention that they could hurt themselves or accidentally start a fire! When we moved to this house we discovered we had coyotes that liked to eat cats, therefor our cats had to come live indoors. They got messy and destructive, as animals do, and eventually we had to build them their own room to live in to maintain our sanity. May seem drastic, but we have never been happier–we can love them and have a clean, functioning house, too. I hope you can find an easy solution because those girls sure are cute!
I didn’t even think of that (starting a fire, hurting themselves). I was just thinking – money – and how quick they were putting a dent in our pockets.
As for the cats…that’s awesome that you were able to do that. I think an indoor hutch for our girls might be just what we need – to keep them, and us safe. And because honestly, I really don’t want to get rid of them. They’re so cute and loveable.
